Launch function working only in preview mode, stops when app is published

Hello,

I have a button which launches another app, it only works in preview mode and stops working when tested in the published version of the app.

Any ideas?

What browser are you using? Is your button inside another control (say a Form)? The website you are launching to, is it in the same security zone as your app?

I tried in IE, chrome and edge. Sometimes it works the first time and stops working. The button is used in a screen of an app. It launches another app built using powerapps, this app was launched scucessfully using another button with launch function.

The difference between the working button and non-working button is the non working one has a delegation warning but I have increased the count to 2000 in app settings and the number of items are less than 2000.

It used work fine before the launch of app checker function and thats when the yellow delegation warning triangle started to appear on this non-working button and it stopped working.

Could you please share more details about the formula within the OnSelect property of the Non-working button?

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. The screenshot as below:

The OnSelect proprty of the Launch button set to following formula:

ClearCollect(Collection2,Filter('20180718_case11',Status.Value in Collection1.Value));
Launch("https://web.powerapps.com/webplayer/iframeapp?source=iframe
&appId=/providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apps/xxxx0e22-6519-xx6f-90fd-66a0d31exxxx")

Note: The Filter function within above formula could not be delegated.

Please check if you have allowed Pop-ups within your browsers. In other words, please take a try to enable/turn on the Pop-up option within your browser.

In addition, you could also take a try to put the formula of Button control (Launch button) into a Concurrent function, then check if the issue is solved. I have made a test, please take a try with the following formula:

    Launch("https://web.powerapps.com/webplayer/iframeapp?source=iframe

I was not able to use concurrent function with this. I have popups enabled on all my browsers.

@v-xida-msft @anees Is there a way I can debug this issue. The buttons are not working for some users and these buttons either open a different app in powerapps or open a word document from a sharepoint library. The button greys out when the user clicks on it. The users have pop-ups enabled and tried it in IE, chrome and edge, cleared browser cache and nothing worked. While they can access a different button with similar functionality they have issue with some butttons. When I try them in preview mode I dont see an issue with any of them. Let me know where should I start on this issue.

Hello, 

It seems that I have the same problem. Launch() function behaves ok in studio enviroment and fails to start in run mode.

To test the app, I used IE, Chrome and powerapps app on mobile  and desktop with the same result the button doesn't start the app as expected ( no error returned !).

I called the function with a simple: LAUNCH ("https://web.powerapps.com/apps/9fac51f7-43d8- .....").

Is there something i did wrong ?
