Link to connect power apps not working using power automate

Hi Team,

 

I am using power automate to send an email to the approver. In the email there must be a link which should navigate to that particular ticket. Refer screenshot below. I have tried all options. Approver is receiving the email however when clicking the link it is going to homescreen and not to the actual ticket screen where the approver can make the changes. Can you please assist me to fix this one.

Where are you navigating to the page and how are you using varItem on your Form ?

Can you please help me resolve this issue.

When a new ticket is created and submitted. Approver is getting the email with the link. Link is directing to the correct screen however not to the correct ticket. Its not picking the correct ticket and going to the same ticket every time (not the new one but the one which was already created). Refer my previous post for all the codes and screen shots. Let me know if you want me to provide anything more.

What is the Item of your Form - can you also please confirm the last question I asked ?

If you are running this OnStart

and your Form Item is varItem and you have the correct incoming parameter value, then it should work. However you still have not answered the question on how you navigate to the relevant screen automatically when there is a deep linking parameter involved.

 

@WarrenBelz Im using deeplink, similar to OnStart I have used StartScreen which i set to navigate to the screen which I want and also in powerautomate I have given the ID in the link. Refer below for screenshots

We finally got there - can you please remember for the future to try to supply everything requested - I am trying to help you but it is difficult getting information one item at a time. StartScreen runs before OnStart - put this OnVisible of the screen with your Form on instead of OnStart

Thanks a lot. I have followed your instructions and added the code Onvisible on the screen with Form and removed it onstart. Refer screen shots belowHowever same error is coming up.

What error ? Sorry, but you need to be a bit proactive here if we are going to solve this. Can you also please take some time out to understand the process  - have you ensured that you actually have a parameter coming in (look at the end of the URL). If that code at Screen OnVisible , you actually have the correct parameter coming in and your Form Item is varItem, then the Form should show the target record.

Thanks for your help @WarrenBelz. It got finally resolved. Error - Was not directing to the correct ticket when clicking the link.

Now its working, when a create a new record. Approver is receiving an email with a link to the app. Once clicking the link its going to the correct ticket.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
