Loosing connection to SharePoint lists occasionally

Hi,

I have a published PowerApp with about 20 SharePoint lists as the main datasource. Since about 1,5 week back we have experienced problems where it seems like the app is loosing its connection to all of the SharePoint lists for a short while. All of sudden, all the galleries and other elements connected to the SharePoint datasource in the app just go totally blank, there are no error messages received in the app when it happens. After just 30 seconds to  2 minutes, the data reappears again without any further action taken. Restarting the app or refreshing datasource does not seem to make the data reappear directly.

I have tried to remove and readd all the SharePoint lists in the app and republish the app again, but the problem is still there.

There are approximatly 10 active users of the app and it seems that the issue appears more often for some users than others. For me it happens maybe 0-2 times per day, but for other users it can happen up to 1 time per hour even.

has anyone experience similar behaviour in PowerApps?

Is there any good way to troubleshoot this error?

I got this work around from Microsoft support which for now seems to have resolved my issues with PowerApps losing connection to SharePoint.

"the customer needs to enable “external Sharing” from Sharepoint admin center, and at least “existing guests only” on the top-level site only:"

Hello again,

Managed to catch the error in the PowerApps monitor functions. Its error 401, Unauthorized. Between 11:42 - 11:50 (8 minutes total).

I copied the request URL and paste it into the web browser, I get below message:

{
  "Message": "Missing Authorization header for a privileged call on connection.",
  "Source": "product policy"
}

 last error message before app started working normally again (without any action from user)

With this info, does anyone know what could be wrong? Is it something with the O365 account authorization to SharePoint?

I have also been seeing this behaviour across multiple apps since about 18th Feb 22.  Thank you for putting me onto the Monitor feature I will be running that all of today and report back.

I have had the monitor running on one of my apps, I too received the 401 Unauthorized error

I also received another error, but at the top of the monitor screen

I ran the Edge DevTool to check whats wrong, and when the app loose connection to the sharepoint lists with error code 401 I get below response:

{
  "error_description": "Invalid JWT token. The token is expired."
}

Hi, ever since mid-February me and my colleagues are facing the same issues across multiple environments and clients.
The two main issues we encounter is either the "The request was not sent or there was no response from the server. Check your internet connection" and the

"Invalid JWT token. The token is expired."

 Both of the issues take about 5' minutes before connection is re-established and everything works again.

Reproduced during the same times that both issues occur with Chrome, Edge, Firefox, reporting the same issues.

I have also had reports of this error from users of my Power Apps in recent weeks. I have also seen it myself both in published apps and in the design tool. Running Monitor during one of the occurrences showed an error returned:

    "x-ms-diagnostics": "3000002;reason=\"The access token has expired. It's valid from '3/26/2022 10:59:22 AM' and to '3/26/2022 12:12:37 PM'.\";category=\"invalid_client\"",
    "x-ms-invokeapp": "1; RequireReadOnly",
    "x-powered-by": "ASP.NET",
    "x-ms-client-request-id": "......."
  },
  "body": {
    "error_description": "Invalid JWT token. The token is expired."
  }

I've not seen these problems until recently so something seems to have changed.

I have finally managed to log a support ticket with Microsoft about this (support logging kept failing).  They asked for some additional details and have now advised they are investigating.  I will keep you posted.

I have had a support ticket with Microsoft regarding this matter now for almost a month, will report back here when/if issue is resolved.

I have found that on start-up of app, I get this error related to CORS-policy (?). Can you see if you also get this error?

Yes absolutely I can check that. What screen are you on in the screenshot you have provided?

Thanks
