Manually trigger check/uncheck of theckbox

Hi there. I am building a power app which actually gets data from a power flow when first page is visible.

I have a checkbox for people to accept terms and a submit button. The main idea is that when someone opens the app, a flow checks if he already accepted the terms in previous submission from a SP list and if he did, then checkbox will be checked and submission button should be enabled (in edit mode).

Power flow returns a variable in the app and i set it like this:

Set(powerautomateVar, MyFlow.Run(User().Email);

Also my submit button has under the Display Mode a variable called dvm.

The onCheck of checkbox is set to UpdateContext({dvm: displayMode.Edit});

The onunCheck of checkbox is set to UpdateContext({dvm: displayMode.Disabled});

I also set the default of the checkbox to powerautomateVar.var (where var is the variable returned by the flow which is true or false)

When my app opens after a couple of seconds, if user exists on the page then it automatically checks the checkbox, if not it is left unchecked. BUT, my button remains disabled (which is the default display mode).

I placed inside the onVisible of the 1st page this:

if(powerautomateVar.var=true, UpdateContext({...}), UpdateContext({...}));

Inside this updateContext, I update the default of the checkbox and the displaymode of the submit button but it doesn't seem to work. Checkbox is updated with default value because it is set to powerautomateVar.var but this doesn't trigger the onCheck or the onUnCheck of this and also the UpdateContext({..}) for the dvm (which is the displayMode of submit button) is not working.

Any ideas?

Please try append DisplayMode of the button:

If(powerautomateVar.var, DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.Disabled)

Both the display mode of the button and the value of the check box is depending on the flow returned value.

Sadly it didn't work. It's like when page shows up power flow hasn't fully run and display is set to default which is Disabled. After a couple of seconds it runs but displaymode is not updated at all

Hi  @pm4698 ,

There is no "Default" display mode of a button, even if the flow delayed return the variable, after the variable is created, display mode of the button would change. You can select the whole variable in the formula bar and check if the value is correct, as follows:

If no, please consider add a Timer control on a first welcome screen, set Duration to long enough for the flow running time and OnTimerEnd to navigate to the original first screen of your app. You could also check if the flow response value has been stored as the variable correctly by using a Label setting Text as:

powerautomateVar.var
