Hello,
I've been given a Course Matrix that currently resides in an Excel workbook and the intention is to get this data into SharePoint via lists and possibly Power Apps should that be required (due to complexity).
As you can see below, in column A, B & C we have a list of job titles, departments and directorate areas - I figured these would form the rows in the SharePoint list. However I wasn't too sure how I would handle the courses data from column D onwards as each one will need to be checked with a yes/no field in SharePoint - there are other tabs on this spreadsheet where some options are Y and others are N.
Initially I started toying with how this could look in SharePoint and created a main list holding information from columns A through D (row 1). I then created a second list to hold the Course names with associated data in other lookup columns - the 'Course' column was added as a lookup column to the main list so that when a course name was selected, all other associated values were pulled through:
The issue I am facing is that each row can have multiple course values as per the matrix view above.
Ideally I am seeking ideas from the community on how I could get this working in a SharePoint / Power Apps configuration.

I actually modelled this as a single table, made up of 92% Choices. The only one I couldn't turn into a Choice, was Course, because I wasn't sure if you had a full list but check it out

Now you said you had some other columns on the other Tab, but I couldn't add those.
With this model you can either use the SharePoint standard form, or create a Form, or a Canvas App, which would be super easy to make because you just combine a Gallery (to View all), a View Form to view a specific gallery item and a New/Edit form to edit or create a new one and SubmitForm(FormName)...
I mean its oversimplifying a little but tha is it really

@FLMike I don't fully understand your concept.
All of these however are Course names and each will need to have a yes/no value below them - I gather the only way to acheive this would be to create yes/no columns for each with the same name?
But then, each of these has their own additional values from rows 3 through 6..

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge! This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks. The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.
