I am working on a simple help desk app using OOB Dataverse. I have created a couple of tables and am trying to show updates to a particular ticket in a timeline control.
Table 1 - HD Ticket (basic info about ticket, this is tied to contacts and accounts)
Table 2 - Ticket Updates (lookup to a ticket (table 1) and a rich text field for freeform text entry)
The update table is configured as an activity table, and I have managed to map the ticket summary (primary field in table 1) to the subject field (in the associated ticket update activity table) and if I create new updates they show in the timeline, but I can never get the "body" field to show in the timeline. I thought the timeline control used the card form, and I added the "body" field to the card form, but no luck.
Am I missing how this works? Can anyone tell me how to control the info shown in the timeline entry?

When you click on any activity in the timeline control settings. It gives you the option to configure a form and when you do, the settings I showed should come up.

It is configured via a card form.
Can you show us the settings that you have configured for the activity in the card form? Attaching a screenshot would help.

I found a possible solution using the deprecated read only grid with cards but I would rather NOT use a deprecated control, for obvious reasons 🙂

In the modern editor of the card form, you should have the always show feature next to body. You can enable it to make sure that you can see the body in the timeline.

Thanks again for helping! Your answer makes perfect sense, but I cannot figure out how to (and I have searched using Google and Bing and on Microsoft Learn) to edit the card form using the modern editor. (I realize how stupid I sound, but I'd rather ask the question).
Whenever I edit the card form, or create a new one, it defaults to the "classic" editor. Is there a setting under environments or somewhere else where I can choose the editor for the card forms? Most of the controls or forms or tables I work with are now completely in the modern editor, but a few things still require me to open the classic interface.
Sorry for moving in a different direction, but your answer makes it all clear, if only I could get there, lol.

We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
