Modern Forms - Default Value Office365 Email

Hey

I'm currently working on an application but have encored a small issue, in relation to the form passing the data to SharePoint, So I have a text input box that is automatically filling with the Office365 Users Email, when i press the submit button attached to the form, all the data enters correctly onto the form, apart from the apart from User email, dose anyone know how to fix this issue.

Within the Value property for the text input i have the following: 

User().Email

Have you created the Text input separate from the Form? Of so I guess that is your problem. 

What you should do is add the field that you want to store the email address in to your Form, and then unlock the DataCard connected to this field in the advanced settings. (in this example I have a column named Lead that I added as one of the fields of the Form:

After that you have unlocked the DataCard, you can change the Default property of the Text Input that comes with the DataCard (called DataCardValue2 in this example) to User().Email

If you do that, the SubmitForm procedure will also store the user mail address in the desired column.

That's what i already have, I'm using Modern Controls, so it doesn't have the Default property, but it dose have Value Property, and this is assigned to User().Email

Oh, sorry for using the classic Form and old terms. 😄

Also with a modern Form, it works like a blizz at my side.

Two things that you might want to check: 

• What is in the Update property of the DataCard?
• What type of column are you trying to save your mail address to?
