Multi Columns in gallery

Hi friends

I'm struggling and need your help in creating gallery that contains 15 columns but not all is showing

I am using containers as it can be seen in figure below. I added horizontal container " main container " so I can scroll the header and the gallery together but it does not work.

Hey @ASH3 ,

Could you just explain a bit more what your scenario is?

Do you need absolutely to have all 15 columns on first sight?

Do you interact with the individual records?

maybe you could make use of the Data Table (Table) control instead?

Hi @DBO_DV

I want to create a table exactly the same as excel table the i have so they can edit in the application. I tried to use Table control but it is for preview so I had to use the gallery.

There Is a not preview version of this the Data Table.

Here is a Link to a tutorial that should be able to help you out : Power Apps Editable Table/Gallery like Excel (Tutorial) (youtube.com)

Hi @ASH3

can guide you on how to display multiple columns in a Power Apps gallery and achieve an Excel-like fixed pane feature. Here are the steps:

Displaying Multiple Columns in a Gallery:

Open Power Apps and create a connection to your data source.
Create a gallery and insert labels showing all columns in your data source1.
Place a label above the gallery with a different fill to act as a table header1.
Write each column name in the text property of the label and position them to match the data columns inside the gallery1.
Achieving Excel-like Fixed Pane Feature:

Add a vertical container and a subcontainer to the screen2.
Add a horizontal container inside the subcontainer and name it header container2.
Add labels to the header container for each column of the data source2.
Adjust the header container settings to start from the left, switch off the flexible height, and set the width and height based on the labels2.
Add a gallery below the header container and select the data source2.
Add labels to the gallery for each column of the data source and match the width and alignment with the header container2.
Adjust the gallery height to fill the app height minus the gallery y position2.
Add a horizontal scroll bar to the header container and the gallery and set the scroll value to be the same for both2.
Add a mod function to the gallery to alternate the row colors2.
Add a filter function to the gallery to filter the data based on a text input2.
Add a visible property to the scroll bar to show or hide it based on the scroll value2.

Here is the Data Table:

Have you tried simply expanding your Gallery? I Mean over the limits off your screen. This should add the scrollbar Automatically in a Container.

Hi @DBO_DV

Why I don't have data table 😥

ASH3_0-1720599697996.png

and yes I have tried your suggestion and it worked but when I scroll it right and left the header not align with it so I need the header also to be align

@ASH3 ,

You need to add the Header in the same Container so that it stays aligned with the Gallery.
