Multiple criteria for DisplayMode

I have been working on creating a form that has 6 checkboxes, 4 text boxes and 1 people picker. I am trying enable/disable my Submit Form button if 1 criteria is not met.

PeoplePicker 1

Checkbox 1; Textbox 1

Checkbox 2; Textbox 2

Checkbox 3; Textbox 3

Checkbox 4; Textbox 4

Checkbox 5

Checkbox 6

What I am hoping is that if a user selects checkbox 1, then textbox 1 must contain data before the Submit Form Button is enabled. I f the user selects checkbox 1 and enters data in textbox 1, then selects checkbox 3 and does not enter data in textbox 3, then the Submit Form Button is disabled. I also should mention that the People Picker must also not be blank for the Submit Form Button to work.

I do have the check boxes disabled if the people picker is blank. Each textbox is only enabled when the corresponding Checkbox is selected.

I have been using the following formula:

If(Or(!IsBlank(PeoplePicker) && CheckBox1.Value = true && !IsBlank(DataCardValue1)), Edit, If(Or(And(!IsBlank(PeoplePicker) && LCheckBox2.Value = true && !IsBlank(DataCardValue2))), Edit, If(Or(And(!IsBlank(PeoplePicker) && CheckBox3.Value = true && !IsBlank(DataCardValue3))), Edit, If(Or(And(!IsBlank(PeoplePicker) && CheckBox4.Value = true && !IsBlank(DataCardValue4))), Edit, Disabled))))

This is requiring the user to select a checkbox and enter data in the corresponding text box, however if another checkbox is selected, the button stays enabled and the form can be submitted without data in the second text box.

I changed the DataCardValue# to show corresponding text boxes. All text boxes are  single line of text.

@JR-BejeweledOne, I was hoping to be able to do this without using variables, but it may be the only way to get this to work. It just seems that this would be a functionality that would be available in PowerApps without variables.

Cheers

Hi @techtudoor,

try this:

If((!IsBlank(PeoplePicker) && CheckBox1.Value = true && !IsBlank(DataCardValue1)) Or((!IsBlank(PeoplePicker) && LCheckBox2.Value = true && !IsBlank(DataCardValue2))  Or((!IsBlank(PeoplePicker) && CheckBox3.Value = true && !IsBlank(DataCardValue3)) Or((!IsBlank(PeoplePicker) && CheckBox4.Value = true && !IsBlank(DataCardValue4)), Edit, Disabled))))

I hope this resolved your issue if you see any challenge/need further help please let me know I am always happy to do it for my community.

This may not be the best or recommended way of handling this, but it's what I would do.

I would use the onCheck of the checkbox to set a variable to false (true is default) for each checkbox.   When the corresponding text box is completed set the variable back to true.

Then on your displaymode for the submit button (of course include all your variables in the statement):

If(varCheckbox1 And varCheckBox2 And varCheckbox3, Edit, Disabled)

Thank You Krishna, but this gave me the same results as I have been experiencing. It only requires the first corresponding textbook to have data, still able to submit with select options with no data in corresponding text boxes.

Hi @techtudoor,

This has to be handled with checkbox & textbox onChange and Onclick events.

Please let me know how are you enabling the textbox and people picker control and if time permits share me a screenshot of the structure you have on your app.
