Need date column in separate Sharepoint lists to match

    This question involves two separate Sharepoint lists, a PowerApp, and recording a date to both sites upon submitting a form within the app.

    The first Sharepoint site is a document library ('LOTO Documents') and the second Sharepoint site is a list that stores audit results ('LOTO Audits'). The PowerApp provides a list of the documents in the document library, each of which provides a link to a document informational page (Doc Content), which gives more contextual info about that specific document. From the Doc Content screen (which is unique for each document) you can select a "Start Audit" button that launches an audit form. Right now, once the audit form (Doc Audit) is complete, the user selects a Submitform button, which saves the form data to the 'LOTO Audit' list, including a date from a datepicker field used in the form.

    What I want to do is use the date chosen from the datepicker field (in the audit form) to also update the "Date of Last Review" in the 'LOTO Document" document library. In other words, I need the "Date of Last Review" to be the same as the most recent "Date of Audit", as the "Date of Next Review" (adds 1 year to last review) will provide a prompt of when to audit the document next.

    The "SubmitForm('Audit Form')" function is used to save/create the entry into the 'LOTO Audit' list, which works perfectly.

Below are screencaps of the column names from both sites, if that helps. I think this is going to need a "patch" function, but am not sure of that.

Hi @ChancelorM ,

The question I have is what field in 'LOTO Audits' reflects the matching field in 'LOTO Documents' being audited. If it is the document name (please provide the field name), the process is not difficult, however you may run into issues when the Library grows above your Delegation limit as the document name is not Delegable in a Lookup.

The document name is "Name" in both sites.

Thanks @ChancelorM ,

As I mentioned, this is not Delegable (insert your actual Name from 'LOTO Audits')

With(
   {
      wNext:
      DateAdd(
         DatePickerName.SelectedDate,
         1,
         TimeUnit.Years
      )
   },
   Patch(
      'LOTO Documents',
      LookUp(
         'LOTO Documents',
         Name = YourNameFieldHere,
      ),
      {
         'Date of Last Review': DatePickerName.SelectedDate,
         'Date of Next Review': wNext
      }
   )
)

I appreciate your input. the doc library is around 800 documents, which I have had to change delegation limits, but to be honest, the concept of delegation still escapes me.

The audit list will certainly grow into the thousands. Is your comment regarding delegation in reference to both sites, or one in particular?

Perhaps I misunderstand, but I inserted the code you kindly assembled for me into the 'OnSelect' action within the save button properties, and it does not function. To be specific, it prevents the other actions of the 'OnSelect' action such as "Submitform('Audit form')" and does not commit any data to either site.

Where do you recommend inserting the code you provided?

Thank you

@ChancelorM ,

You have your control name in double quotes instead of single quotes and your field name does not need quotes at all - also I have a blog on Delegation that may assist and in your case refers to the Library.

Ok, I think those changes have been made correctly. Still some errors however. Where do you recommend I insert this code? After SubmitForm ? I am reading through your blog about delegation.
