Hi @Cr1t ,
It seems there's a field missing in the records you are trying to save:
'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser"
Try inserting this in the Update properties of the datacards. For instance for the 'Assign Project to' column:
{
'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",
Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Lower(DataCardValue46.Selected.Mail),
DisplayName: DataCardValue46.Selected.DisplayName,
Email: DataCardValue46.Selected.Mail,
Department: "",
JobTitle: "",
Picture: ""
}
Hi @Cr1t ,
Doesn't it have 'Assign project to' value in the existing record? Please try below instead:
If(
IsBlank(ThisItem.'Assign project to'),
Blank(),
Office365Users.SearchUser({
searchTerm: ThisItem.'Assign project to'.Email,
top: 1
})
)

Hi @Cr1t ,
The issue seems from SubmitForm function. I used an Email address that does not belong to current tenant to test in Update property, then I got the same error.
Could you please check if the selected people's Email could be found in the Person column?

I used my own email address and support email address for testing purpose and still the same issue. How to fix this now, all 3 domains are trusted and people picker wont show these users, is there any alternative way to achive this ?

Hi thanks for the reply, I tried the code provided on update property, there is no error when i make a new entry, but if i select the record from the gallery and make changes and submit it, i get the error back again. I did use the moniter feature to check the issue it shows me this.
Dont know what to do here.
Hi @Cr1t ,
Looking at the logs, there seems to be a part missing in the claims:
The highlighted area should have the Email address of the user. Could it be that the DataCardValues are empty when trying to submit the form?
I guess so, because i am using my own email account in assign to. Really dont know where i am doing wrong.
Here is the process of whats happening for better understanding where things are going wrong.
Got a request to add users from different domain so i am doing these steps, the below process is simple, user selects a person to assign project, an email goes and the app stores it so there wont be multiple emails sent if the record is edited again. Everything works perfect if i use the normal person column from sharepoint, its affects after changing the code to below.
Assign Project To Items:
Filter(
Office365Users.SearchUser({
searchTerm: DataCardValue46.SearchText,
top: 999
}),
EndsWith(Mail, "@Flexicare.com") ||
EndsWith(Mail, "@Flexicare.lk") ||
EndsWith(Mail, "@Flexicareasia.com")
)
Update property of datacard
{
'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",
Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Lower(DataCardValue46.Selected.Mail),
DisplayName: DataCardValue46.Selected.DisplayName,
Email: DataCardValue46.Selected.Mail,
Department: "",
JobTitle: "",
Picture: ""
}
On form sucess
If(
DataCardValue46.Selected.Mail <> emailSent, // Check if the email has not been sent already
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2( // Send the email using the Office365Outlook connector
DataCardValue46.Selected.Mail & ";", // Recipient email address
"New Project assigned", // Email subject
"Hi you are assigned with new project, please review the project detail <a href='Sharepoint Url =" & BrowseGallery1.Selected.ID & "'&e=V3K3Ub'> Click link for details</a>", // Email body with a hyperlink to the project details page
{Importance: "High"} // Set email priority to high
),
{From: "dev account @flexicare.com"} // Set email sender
);
Set(
emailSent,
Concat( // Concatenate the selected email recipients with the existing email list
DataCardValue46.SelectedItems,
Mail & ";" // Add a semicolon after each email address
)
)
On Submit button,
SubmitForm(Form1); // submits Form1
Navigate(Homescreen); // navigates to Homescreen
Reset(TextSearchBox1); // resets TextSearchBox1
// checks if the project status is "Approved" and not already marked as complete
If(
DataCardValue34.Selected.Value = "Approved" && DataCardValue34.Selected.Value <> status,
// sends an email to the requester
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(
DataCardValue55.Selected.Email & ";", // email recipient
"Project Completed ", // email subject
"Hi your project" & DataCardValue20.Text & " is marked as Approved by " & User().FullName & "", // email body
{From: "Dev account@flexicare.com"} // email sender
);
Set(status, DataCardValue34.Selected.Value) // sets the project status as Approved
)
Screen Onvisible
Set(emailSent, DataCardValue46.Selected.Mail); // set variable emailSent to the email address selected in DataCardValue46
Set(status, DataCardValue34.Selected.Value); // set variable status to the value selected in DataCardValue34
HI @Cr1t ,
Looking at the formulas it seems like DataCardValue46 is set manually by the user, so it is not automatically populating. Can you please try to make sure a user has been selected and then submit the form to see if the same error still is returned?
Yes i am selecting the user, looks like it does not store the information of selected user if it submitted again.
If you see app dev is selected in assign project to field but still shows error.
