Good day! There is a Power Apps App at our work we are developing now for users to book/schedule different Training events for their teams. It uses 3 SharePoint Lists of Training activities to organize [add a new event, edit an existing event already scheduled]. The Add a new booking event [using the same SP lists] works OK. But when I try to edit an existing event [like change the start and/ end date, etc.], as the Power Apps tries to update the info [using Patch() function] in the existing record in the Share Point List of training events - I am getting a "network error when using Patch function. An error occurred on the server."
The update doesn't happen.
Not sure what is this error pointing to. I would appreciate it a lot if you could advise something.

To figure out what is causing the error mentioned earlier in this thread, I found that there are 2 fields [Start time, End time] on the Edit Form that I have to change both fields to Update a Booking event when I run the App, then the error doesn't show up. But if I just edit only 1 of those 2 fields- the Network error shows up. The fields are "Optional" in the SP list. They were set as "Required" [=true] in the Form, but even if I change "Required" property to false for both of them [or just 1 of them]- I get the Network error if I edit only 1 of them [and not both] when I run the App. The biz requirement is to have the flexibility not both fields to be required to update. I did "Save" the file and "Publish" to publish this version.
Not sure, what is the issue now. Any help is highly appreciate. Thanks.

Since I have the similar issue- I tried to add 1 second to both 'Start time' and 'End time' [the 2 fields that I need to update to avoid the Network error though they are Optional in SP list and not "Required" fields in Power Apps!]. I don't get the network error now when I just update 1 of them! If I just change the End Time [w/o changing the Start time], things are good [no error, everything gets updated in the App and in SP list]. But if I only update 'Start Time', i don't get any Network error, but the event is gone from the Power Apps "Existing events" view [there is a Calendar that shows all existing events, from which i click 1 event to update]. As I check the SP list, I see the "Start Time" Column value gets blank [the previous value is gone]!
I have 2 variables: varMeetingStartUpdated and varMeetingEndUpdated that I assign the 'Start Time' and 'End Time' [that user may have updated] and then pass it to a Patch() later after another "OK to update" button is clicked. The SP list gets updated at that time. Here is the code snippet:

Have you solved the issue now? I made a test from my end but could not reproduce this issue.
Please try below steps:
1. Remove the connection from you App, add again.
2. Remove the two data card fields from the edit form, add them from the form property pane -> Edit fields.
3. try and use SubmitForm function first.

I found the Monitor to be ineffective for troubleshooting when this happened to me, so I looked at every field to see what I did wrong. I found that I had a first(person.displayname) selected and when I made the fields display only and removed the statement, it worked. Unfortunately, it took a lot of time because I couldn't find the tools to help me locate the problem. Thanks for the post, it was helpful!
