On Start i have a bunch of code to redirect once a form is submitted to land on the approval page for that particular form
Set(
varEmpID1,
Value(Param("ATA"))
); If(varEmpID1 <> 0, Set(varRecords, LookUp(AuthorisationToAppoint, ID = varEmpID1));Navigate(ATA_ApprovalForm) ); Set(
varEmpID,
Value(Param("Leave"))
); If(varEmpID <> 0, Set(varRecord, LookUp('Employee Absence Request (App)', ID = varEmpID));Navigate(EmploeeApprovalForm) )
; Set(
varEmpID2,
Value(Param("LEAVERS"))
); If(varEmpID2 <> 0, Set(varLeave, LookUp('Leavers Record', ID = varEmpID2)));Navigate(LeaversApprovalForm); Set(
varEmpID3,
Value(Param("Contract"))
); If(varEmpID3 <> 0, Set(varContract, LookUp('Contract Variation', ID = varEmpID3)));Navigate(ContractVariation_ApprovalForm);
Set(
varEmpID4,
Value(Param("NewStarter"))
); If(varEmpID4 <> 0, Set(varNewStarter, LookUp('New Starters', ID = varEmpID4)));Navigate(NewStarter_ApprovalForm)
This all works as it should but the issue i am having is the when starting the app to complete a new form its taking me to the "NewStarter_ApprovalForm" if i remove this section of code it takes me to the one above it "ContractVariation_ApprovalForm"
I need the app to open to the welcome screen unless the parameters outlined are met
My welcome screen is called "FormSelectionScreen"

Hi @amyharkus86 ,
This is more an order of logic rather than a coding issue as your code is valid.
You have five incoming parameters and the last one that succeeds will be the screen you go to, so look at the examples that are taking you to the wrong screen, go to View > Variables and look at the value of the five parameters - you should see the issue there.
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.
@WarrenBelz after a bit of confusions i managed to resolve the issue
Couple of things, i made a change to one of the forms and i had not corrected the item to varContracts i also had ) in the wrong place on two of my parameters
This is the corrected code.
Set(varEmpID,Value(Param("Leave"))); If(varEmpID <> 0, Set(varRecord, LookUp('Employee Absence Request (App)', ID = varEmpID));Navigate(EmploeeApprovalForm) );
Set(varEmpID1,Value(Param("ATA"))); If(varEmpID1 <> 0, Set(varRecords,LookUp(AuthorisationToAppoint, ID = varEmpID1)); Navigate(ATA_ApprovalForm) );
Set(varEmpID2,Value(Param("LEAVERS"))); If(varEmpID2 <> 0, Set(varLeave, LookUp('Leavers Record', ID = varEmpID2));Navigate(LeaversApprovalForm) );
Set(varEmpID3, Value(Param("Contract"))); If(varEmpID3 <> 0, Set(varContract, LookUp('Contract Variation', ID = varEmpID3));Navigate(ContractVariation_ApprovalForm) );
Set(varEmpID4, Value(Param("NewStarter"))); If(varEmpID4 <> 0, Set(varNewStarter, LookUp('New Starters', ID = varEmpID4));Navigate(NewStarter_ApprovalForm) )
,
All is working now.
Once again thank you for your help 😀

It would be a better idea to pass the screen name in through a single parameter called 'Screen'. Then store the screen name in a variable and use an IF statement to navigate to the proper one.
// store parameter in a variable
Set(varEmpID, Value(Param("Screen")));
// decide which screen to show
If(
varEmpID="ATA", Set(varRecords, LookUp(AuthorisationToAppoint, ID = varEmpID)); Navigate(ATA_ApprovalForm),
varEmpID="Leave", Set(varRecord, LookUp('Employee Absence Request (App)', ID = varEmpID)); Navigate(EmploeeApprovalForm),
varEmpID=""LEAVERS", Set(varLeave, LookUp('Leavers Record', ID = varEmpID)); Navigate(LeaversApprovalForm),
varEmpID="Contract", Set(varContract, LookUp('Contract Variation', ID = varEmpID)); Navigate(ContractVariation_ApprovalForm),
varEmpID="New Starters", Set(varNewStarter, LookUp('New Starters', ID = varEmpID)); Navigate(NewStarter_ApprovalForm),
Navigate(FormSelectionScreen)
);

Hello Again @WarrenBelz
I looked under my variables and originally is was only showing 4 of the 5, but i have now got it to display all 5
For some reason they are showing now value for all my varEMPID1 2,3 and 4 apart from varEmpID this is showing 0
I'm guessing this is why its not working and the is always landing on the new starter approval form page, Help 🙂
@mdevaney although this solution opened the landing page on the correct "ScreenSelection" page, the deep link to my approval forms no longer worked .
It is difficult for me to debug logic code like this when I cannot see your data or the combination of values you might get in the various fields you are testing, specifically how many are likely to be true (if more than one).
Your syntax is solid and should produce the result you want providing (for instance) only one of the incoming parameters will ever be present. What have you done to allow for more than one to be present and if they are, what precedent should they take?
