Parent.Orientaion is Vertical when application opened in desktop

When I create an application with mobile template and i try to open it in desktop PowerApp, the Parent.Orientation is equals to Layout.Vertical despite the fact that my monitor is horizontal.

Also, opening the same app in web browser PowerApp will set Parent.Orientation to Horizontal which is what i expect for desktop.

Is it a bug or normal behavior ? Is there a way to set the Orientation in App.Start ?

I know i can work around by checking App.Width over App.height but i rather stay with Parent.Orientation if possible.

I've already read all other article you sent. I'm already doing a lot of responsive design, but the problem which i have is a consistency problem.

On my Power App on a mobile template i have this :

On web browser, the Page.Orientation is Horizontal (because i display it on a horizontal monitor which is what i wait).

But on the desktop application, Page.Orientation is Vertical despite the fact it is on the same monitor.

I know i can work around by checking App.Width and App.Height to calculate myself the orientation but that seems silly since there is already a variable which should already do this (at least i think it should).

My question then is : is it the normal behaviour ?

If I am understanding you correctly, you are testing one app in three environments, mobile app, browser on PC and app on PC?

I have just tested on of my phone setup apps on the three and they all displayed vertical (as designed).

Are you saying that on your PC app the display was "sideways"?

Actually, what i am trying to achieve is to have one app for those three environments by doing some responsive design.

To achieve that, I'm using Screen.Orientation property for the placement of my containers (so if Screen.Orientation is Vertical, my containers will be placed vertically and if Screen.Orientation is Horizontal, my containers will be placed horizontally).

From experience, the mobile template is the most appropriate for this.

This is working fine for mobile and PC web browser.

Screen.Orientation is Vertical on mobile and Horizontal on PC web browser.

However, on app on PC the Screen.Orientation is Vertical although the monitor is Horizontal.

This behaviour seems odd to me as the Screen.Orientation is working fine on PC web browser.

I don't see why Screen.Orientation is Vertical on app on PC since i have a horizontal monitor is should be Horizontal.

After having done some further tests, it appears that the problem does not come from Screen.Orientation but rather App.Height and App.Width themself.

Indeed, on desktop app, the App.Height seems to work correctly by taking all the windows height but App.Width is trying to keep the designed ratio for mobile app although there are a lot of space available.

I want to add that my "Size and screen orientation" settings are all turned off, so for me this is a bug on the desktop version. If I wanted the ratio to be the same i would have activated this setting but here it is turned off.
