Pass Comments On One Screen to a Second Screen

Hello everyone. I am pretty new to PowerApps.

I have one datasourced screen that has comments but my form is pretty busy and full. I want to pass the comments from screen 1 to a 2nd screen (with no datasource) so I can edit and append the comments. I have navigation working between the 2 screens working. Now I just need to pass the comments from screen 1 to screen 2, and then the edited comments back to screen 1 to be submitted.

Sorry, it is a Friday and towards the back half of my day. I really just don't want to steer you in the wrong direction and help as best as I can.

1. They go to SharePoint, select a row in the list, click edit, and the form shows up to the right of the screen? 

2. They go to SharePoint, select a row in the list, click edit, and move into Power Apps and away from SharePoint?

3. They start from a Power App link and select a record?

Hope this all makes sense.

Ok, you should set the screen2 default value to your comments DataCardValue1,2,3....  Example DataCardValue4.Text.

Then on the button to go back to screen 1 set the OnSelect value to create a collection.

colTitle will be the Title field of your sharepoint list and if you have more than one comment field you can just do colComments1, colComments2, etc... and those should pull in the value of your screen 2 fields.

ClearCollect(colComments,{colTitle:DataCardValue1.Text,colComments:TextInput1.Text});Navigate(FormScreen1)

Then on your screen 1 comment field(s) make the default value be a look up to the collection.

Do you have the syntax for creating the collection?

the colComments part can be named whatever you want.  I usually name my collections starting with col for collection. And same with my fields so if i need a lookup in power apps ever it will be easier to differentiate between columns.

Is colComments a global variable?

It is the name of the collection, but you can name it whatever you want to.  It can be used only within the app and will only be populated once the button is pressed to create it. each time the button gets pressed, it will clear the previous information and repopulate it.
