Patch Error: The type of this argument does not match the expected type...

I have a Patch function which keeps giving me an error when I add on a specific dropdown.

The error I get is: 'The type of this argument 'JobRole' does not match the expected type 'Text'. Found type 'Error'. 

It is patching to a SharePoint List. The column name is JobRole and it is formatted as a Single Line of Text (same as every other column). 

I have tried deleting the column and remaking it, I've tried different names for the column, I've tried amending my patch to Selected.Result or Selected.Text and nothing changes the error message.

The dropdown itself is a cascading dropdown which relies on the option chosen in dpdServiceSI.

I have a main SP list called ActionitemsMaster list which has a column called trigger for action items (single line of text) that stores all the values for lookup field. Another SP list called Actionitemstracker which has a lookup column called trigger for action item(s) which does a lookup from ActionitemsMaster list. In powerapps I am using a Combobox for the lookup column to allow user to search multiple values and patch it into the SP.

Is the single line of text field the one that you are trying to patch?  If so, you can combine the table of records using Concat()

No for patching I am using lookup column in SP and in Powerapps combobox with multiple selection allowed. Tha main list has a single line of text field which has the values which is a reference for lookup column.

Take a look at this video by April Dunham.  It will show you how to process the selections in the combobox into a temporary collection.  You can then use that collection in your patch.

I am trying to Patch a Collection to a SharePoint List 'Air Lanes'.    My collections col_AirLanes appears to work fine.  However, when I try patch, I receive this error:  Issue This type of argument 'LaneID' does not match the expected type 'Record'.  Found type 'Text'.  There is a column in the SharePoint list  'Lane ID' with a space but it's not required, defaults to 'Pending' and is not part of my collection?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I am facing similar issue but it is for Choice column instead of text. In my case I want to edit values on the fly so On-Change of the text inputs, drop down and Date select I have done the following:

But I am getting an error (for drop-down previously I used drpname.Selected.value)

I was referring to Rezza Video on PowerApps Editable Table/Gallery, and I followed the same but facing this issue. Could anyone please help me with this?.
