Patch Error

I've been trying to fix the below code for over 10 hours and would really appreciate some help 🙂 

Seems like i'm making some silly mistake...help !!!

I'm getting an error called "the data source supplied to the function is invalid". This error is only for the first patch function and this error shows up only when i run the application

Here is the code that i'm trying to fix

Could you please give more details?

In the patch are you expectin to insert 1 record or more? Have you checked the structure data that are you trying to insert?

IN the patch function i am expecting to insert only 1 record. Yes i have checked the structure of the data and i believe it is good 🙂 i think i'm messing up somewhere with the lookup perhaps ?

Just to give you some context of what is that i am doing :-

I have two collections Collection2 and DefaultCollection. Essentially the structure of both the collections are the same but I am adding some default values to the DefaultCollection so that the users can make a selection. Here is how it looks

Once they checkmark any values-i write that data to collection2. So essentially collection2 has only the selected values. Also i am allowing users to manually enter "Determinants of Regulatory risks". and once the users clicks on complete it saves the data in Collection2 to sharepoint. 

The code that i pasted in the above post is used to extract the data from sharepoint to collection2 and then to defaultcollection. The first patch function looks for data that are not manually entered and sets selected = true in Defaultcollection ; the second patch functions adds manually entered data inside the Defaultcollection

So it means that you are trying to insert more than 1 record right?

Sorry for confusing you. You are right I am inserting more than 1 record overall.

Have you try to instead to make the patch save it in a Collection and then make the insertion?

I replaced the patch function with updateif and everything works now !
