Patch Function Error

I am working on teams power app.

 

I am trying to use the below code but getting error Invalid argument.

Please guide the correction in this code :

My tip would be to hover your mouse over all of the rows within the Patch formula to find out which argument is invalid specifically.

I found the below error on the hover over on mouse

Also note, as I thought that it may be expecting .Selected for date field, But it is not allowing me to do that. It has only option to select .value , And there is no other field to select for date entry

As I have a normal text box , where I will type the date and patch it.

 

Please guide

 

 

You can use the DateTimeValue(Textstring) formula to translate your text to a date time value.

Your TextBox2_4.Value is type of string, you have to pass date value 

Convert text to date type

Do let us know if you encounter any issue

It's hard to determine what could be your issue based on the info you provided.  Is everything a text field?  You can narrow down where the issue is by removing fields to find which one is causing the issue.  My guess would be your date field could be the problem, but if you are updating a text field than what you are doing would work.  If the data source has choice fields, your approach wouldn't work for that field type.  Once you figure out which field is the problem, identify a data type mismatch and adjust the syntax to provide the right info to the data source.

Noted and change all the Input field on the screen according to the Table. (I mean if table column is Date Field Type, the I selected Date picker for data entry.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
