Patch changed data selected through a Combobox from a Sharepoint Excel Table

Hi all!

I'm a PowerApps newbie, having a hard time with the Patch function.

My data is held in a Table in an Excel sheet saved in our Sharepoint.

I can't save the date in Dataverse / One Drive as I'm using the Power Apps trial version. I don't want to use a Form or a Gallery  because it limits the design too much for my intended purpose. Once I get this test running correctly we'll take a full functioning Power Apps subscription.

The Organizations' info (Name, Address, Phones, etc.) is in the table tblOrganizaciones. The column/field ORG_FULL is the full Organization name (Title?) that I use as the record identifier in a combobox (cbxSelectOrg) where the user selects the intended record.

In the example below when the user selects a company in the combobox, Power Apps displays 3 fields: (ORG_FULL, Centralita_01 and Ciudad) on 3 Text Input controls named inpOrganizacion, inpCentralita_01 and inpCiudad. Except for ORG_FULL, the user should be able to modify any fields and, after pressing the "Guarda los datos" button (btnGuardaOrganizaciones), change the data in the original Sharepoint table if needed.

I've tried different codings of the Patch function and the data in the Sharepoint table never updates.

btw: The reason I want to use a Combobox at all is so the user can start spelling part of the company name (even mid string) so the list pre-filters.

I think you should specify the lookup condition.

try the following.

Patch(
      tblOrganizaciones,
      LookUp(tblOrganizaciones, cbxSelectOrg.Selected.ORG_FULL = combobox.selected.value),
      {
             Centralita_01: inpCentralita_01.Text,
             Ciudad: inpCiudad.Text,
      }
)

2 questions: I don't understand the "combobox.Selected.value" part.

(I'm guessing the selected (lower case) should really be Selected, right?)

a) Do you mean the word "combobox" itself or the name I use for my combobox = cbxSelectOrg?

b) Do you mean the word "value" or a value? If so, what value would that be?

I'm still doing something wrong (ain't working!)

My bad. basically you will have to satisfy the condition for the look up column. So you should equate the name of the organization (in this case A quitada Da auga) from the tblOrganizaciones to the selected value of the combobox

I couldn't get it working for a different reason altogether: My original Excel sheet/table was corrupted.

In desperation and after trying many solutions (including yours, of course) and not seeing any change in the base table I concluded that maybe the problem was there. So, I started a totally new Excel sheet and table in Sharepoint and the Patch instructions is now working perfectly.
