So I have a New form that creates a new Contact in a list in SharePoint. The issue I am having is that I have a lookup for the Company that is pulling from another list in SharePoint and when I submit the form to create a new record this field is not filling in.
I have tried a Patch but it seems to have an issue with the field that I need to set the value in the lookup to.
Here is what I have that is not working

The lookup is coming from the LPS Account list and we are wanting to update that field in the Contacts Industrials SharePoint list.
When I just do a submit form I get everything but that field. Do I need to change the field in the Contacts list to a single line of text so that it will stick? I have a text field already called Company_Text but it is not recognizing it either in the Contacts list.
Company0 is the lookup column in the Contacts list.
I am stuck and would appreciate someone telling me what I am doing wrong.
I have my default for the company name: ThisItem.'Company (Company0)' and update: DataCardValue79.Selected
You can save yourself a lot of grief in PowerApps if you don't use lookup, choice, people, or yes/no columns in SharePoint. You can do the lookup to another list easily within PowerApps. Whenever I develop a SharePoint app, I only use single line of text, number and date columns. SharePoint Lookup and Choice columns can be replaced by ["type1","Type2",...] and if number of items is large, use another list to provide the choices to a dropdown. It will be easier to add items to another list than to modify a SharePoint lookup or choice column.
@Drrickryp as I mentioned i have the single line but I am not sure how to do the ComboBox dropdown different then I am already, It is pulling from the other list which is LPS Accounts, I want it to update the field Company_Text in the Contacts list. Not sure how to fix this?
Sorry for the rant, it's a pet peeve of mine. If you are patching a company name selected in a dropdown, you would use

}

This assumes that the company field in the 'CONTACTS INDUSTRIAL' list is a single line of text and Dropdown1 is the control that contains the Company list.

Now nothing is writing back to the list at all? Nor is the entry clearing the form after it submits
@Drrickryp it is also telling me that the Title field is required. It is not on the form or required in the sharepoint list. Not sure what i am missing

You are confusing me. Are you submitting a form or Patching data to your list? My answers to you assumed you are not using a form to submit data to your list. I guess I didn't read your first post well enough and answered too quick. If you are using a form, there should be no need to Patch anything.
@Drrickryp , I stated at the beginning this is a NEW FORM to create a new contact, I am trying to submit the form and update (patch) the lookup field to the Company_Text field.

There may be a problem with the Update property of the card containing your combobox. In the screenshot below, I have a combobox for selecting the zipcode for a referring doctor. The Update property for the card reflects the column in the selected record for the zipcode. In your case, it would be the card containing the combobox for the company.
