People picker with If else condition text inout

Hello Team,

I am trying to build an automatic people picker by watching you tube videos but couldn't figure this one out. I want to add a feature where if a person is exist in the record then they can  find and select their name under "Full Name" column  but if not then they will need to fill information in two columns "First name" and "Last name", and "Full name " column will Concate their First name and last name in this "Full name" column. Following is the code that I am using. Your help is appreciated as always. 🙂

Could you please share more details? I wonder why a user of the App cannot find themself from a people picker, even external users should have accounts set in your tenant.

Thank you for your time.

Users are able to find themselves from the people picker but not if they are not registered in the system at all. I think my code that I have shared above with if else statement is not good and that needs to be fixed. For the net new users I want to fill them the  information in two columns "First name" and "Last name", so that "Full name " column can Concate their First name and last name and show this "Full name" column. I hope this helps.

"Full Name" is a "Person/Group Type" column in the SP list.

Person column selections are all from Azure Directory. I still don't understand why a user can use the App but cannot find self in a People column. Could you please explain further on your scenario?

People are populating in the column. Azure Directory is not an issue. Let's say, HR  Department is using the power apps for a task related to employees. If HR is able to find user in the system then they can select them but if not then they need to create the user profile in the system. My requirement is to combine this two conditions in "Full Name" Column. First condition
If a person is Net New then they will need to register by inputting Text in First Name and Last Name column and "Full Name " column should be able to Concatinate both values and combine them in the "Full Name" Column. See the image below

But if user is already in the system then they can just select themself from the "Full Name" column. No need to add First Name and Last Name. See the image below

Most likely my syntax in the questions above is wrong and I am not able to find the error. Let me know if you have any questions

Hi @SSPower ,

If you want to add new user to Azure AD, the Email address of this user is necessary. Besides, you need to use Microsoft Entra ID connector (AzureAD) to add new users, the required parameters are:

Microsoft Entra ID - Connectors | Microsoft Learn

However, you need to create the new user before submitting the form. So, I suggest you submit the form without updating this person column, then use a flow to create user and select this user to update the item.
