Populate /repeating rows to gallery based on 2 dropDown Lists without clearing previous rows?

Hello, 

I have app that contains dropDown list control (Product type) and (Qty) dropDown list control which contains numbers. 

I have Gallery with 2 text boxes and some labels. 

I want the user to be able to choose the (Product type) and number of Qty and the this to be reflected in the gallery.. 

so if the user selected Kitchen Supplies , qty=1 

then the gallery will have a new row has 2 text boxes and label specifying it's a Kitchen Supplies. 

if then the user selected Living Room , qty=2

2 extra rows will be added to the gallery with labels (Living Room)

I did set Items property of the gallery to: Sequence(Value(ddl_number_2.Selected.Value))

but whenever I add new Product and qty it reset the rows in the gallery to the new selected values 😞

Hi @RollaDes ,

Do you want to add a number of records equal to 'Qty' to the gallery? Can you please tell me how you set up your two Dropdown Items?

I assume that Gallery's data source is an SP list. 'Product Type', 'details', 'Description' are column names in your data source.

The items of your dropdown:

Product Type

Qty

Then you can set the OnSelect of a button like this:

ForAll(Sequence(QtyDropdown.Selected.Value),Patch(datasourceName,Defaults(datasourceName),{'Product Type':TypeDropdown.Selected.Value,details:TextInput1.Text,Description:TextInput1.Text}))

Thanks for your reply.. 

It's correct.. I have Product type DDL connected to SharePoint.. 

QTY is numbers from 1 to 10 for example. 

the dataSource is SharePoint list.. 

and the gallery Items property was set to: 

But with this setting whenever the user select qty or Product type, the previous rows in the gallery removed and the new number of rows is added.. 

I tried your code and it didn't reflect anything to the gallery.. it was empty but the data was sent to the SharePoint list...

Hi @RollaDes ,

Do you mean that the code successfully added blank records to SP list, but did not show them in the Gallery? I suggest you check if the Items setting of the Gallery is SP list.

Or you can provide some screenshots of the test illustrating your problem.
