Possibilities within PowerApps SharePoint lists

Hello.

Newbie to PowerApps here and trying to understand what people have been able to achieve with it. 

Your input on the questions below would be very helpful in learning about what PowerApps could be used for but more importantly whether it is the right tool to use for the desired project user experience. 

1. Is it possible to restrict list item level editing within the app to only the creator of the item on the list with the exception of one field/column within the item, which other users could edit?

Perhaps there is some function that could be used to identify the user of the form and, if they are not the creator, only some columns would be visible?

2. If 1 is not possible, is it possible to have the app form enable only the creator of an item to edit it?

3. Is it possible to mandate that a field be completed if another field in the field is entered e.g. if you pick a start date then you need to enter a completed date or you can't exit the form?

4. Is it possible to present different options/fields on a app form to different users of the forms based on the SharePoint Group they are in?

Kindly please only confirm what you know from personal experience/know for sure, and not probabilities 😊

Answers below

Yes absolutely - the in-built function User().FullName can identify the person logged in and the item property
'Created By'.DisplayName can match this and you can set individual control modes (View/Edit) conditionally

Yes as well for reasons above

Yes easily with If tests and messages before saving the form

Is it possible to present different options/fields on a app form to different users of the forms based on the SharePoint Group they are in?

Yes - it is more the visibility of the fields (you would have them all on the form) that you would control based on the user.
