Power Apps Monitor Feedback discussion thread

We recently launched the new Power Apps Monitor tool to help you debug and improve the performance of your apps. You can read more about the Monitor in the blog post. As you use the Monitor, we'd love to hear your feedback. What did you find helpful? What additional features could we add to this tool to help you debug your apps better? This community post will be used to consolidate all feedback on the Monitor tool. You can also access this post directly from the "Provide Feedback" link in the Monitor.

Getting the same Javascript error here as well. The problem happens with making an API call using a Custom Connector (not this was working fine 2 days ago). If comment out the API call the monitor will update fine, uncomment the API call, as so as that line is hit monitor screen goes grey and javascript error appears in the console. If I download the trace everything is there including the API request and response.

I confirm on my side that the Monitor clears the data after scrolling down... 😬

Update: we are in the process of validating a fix and if all goes well, we hope to have that deployed later today.

Monitor is good when / if it works.  All day this is what I see when i try to run Monitor from App Checker (tab opens up but Monitor will not connect):

Now I tried Monitor to look at a published app and get:

This is not a permission issue.  I am the app owner.  Our environment administrator confirmed no permission changes have been made and I have been using Monitor for over a year.

@JeffTex When launching Monitor tool from Canvas Studio and you encounter the error message about being disconnected are you closing the Studio tab?  In that scenario, the tool connects to the same server session controlled by the Studio. If Studio is closed (or goes idle), it's server session is also closed and Monitor tool will receive this type of message.  This is the only way that I'm able to reproduce what you are experiencing.

As for your second situation about insufficient permissions, it has nothing to do with app permissions.  In that step we are validating that your identity matches the join token generated for connecting the published app to the diagnostic session.  Typically we would only see this issue if a link that includes the join token is shared with multiple identities.  Are you certain that you only use a single identity and not multiple identity profiles?
