Power Apps Test Studio Feedback discussion thread

We recently launched the new Power Apps Test Studio to help you build end-to-end tests for your Canvas apps. You can read more about it in this blog post. As you use the tool, we’d love to hear your feedback, so we can prioritize the next set of improvements, any features that are missing, or any of the current behaviors that may not be ideal.What kinds of tests are you writing? I'm showing frequent environments in all of the public cloud except for North America should have the fix.  Moderate environments will start receiving the fix over the next two weeks starting 8/16.  Which version of the Canvas Studio are you using to edit the app?  Can you successfully save if you open Canvas Studio via https://create.powerapps.com?

Sorry for the late reply but like Rune I am still encountering the same problem regardless of whether I use https://make.powerapps.com/ or https://make.preview.powerapps.com. In both cases, the authoring version seems to be the same (3.21074.37).

@AustinJonesMSFT , I'm not sure what you mean by 'frequent' and 'moderate' environments. I am using an environment which was created as part of the free developer plan (https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-au/developerplan/) so not sure if that makes a difference.

Thank you @Kevin_H and @RuneHanssens for the additional feedback.  We investigated this further and discovered an unrelated change that has caused a regression in the Test Studio save behavior.  Fixes are being prepared and should be deployed to Preview in the next 24hrs.  I will reply back when the save scenario has been restored.

Regarding 'frequent' and 'moderate' environments, we target two release "rings" that get updates on different schedules.  'Frequent' receive the latest updates multiple times a month, whereas 'moderate' receive updates at least once a month.  Environments default to 'frequent' unless otherwise specified as 'moderate'.  You can read more about this administrative setting here: Create and manage environments in the Power Platform admin center - Power Platform | Microsoft Docs

@RuneHanssens  and @Kevin_H the fix has been deployed as part of authoring version 3.21081.48.  Give that version a try and let us know if you continue to experience any issues saving tests.

This version is currently in process of rolling out across regions for frequent environments.  Environments in South America, Canada, India, France, United Kingdom, Asia-Pacific, Japan, UAE, Germany, Switzerland, Australia regions as well as both frequent and moderate environments in Preview region have received this as the recommended version.  Environments in Europe are currently in the process of updating to this version.  Environments in North America will update to it next week.  Moderate environments across regions will start receiving the update to this version next week.

I am working on an APAC tenant with version being 3.21081.49.   I still encounter the 'The test didn't save properly' error.  I did create some test cases in my apps during the experimental period.  Is it because of previously saved data?  How can I remove previous test cases completely?

I am getting the same error. I can't save, publish, or run my tests. It keeps saying 'This test didn't save properly. Please try again.' without telling me what I'm doing wrong. Doesn't matter if I delete and recreate my tests or not.

When I am playing my tests in test studio it giving me error as "This app stopped working. Try refreshing your browser.".

I have copied link and played in another tab still also facing same issue.

Any help is appreciated.
