Power Apps and Power Automate premium license

Hi All,

I'm using ServiceNow connector inside my Power Automate flows. And those flows are connected to an app built using Power Apps.

I just wanted to know,

1) Do I have to purchase both premium licenses (Apps and Flows)?
2) If 5 users within my organization are using this app, do they also need to have the premium licenses for both?

1. If the flows are called by the PowerApps app with an instant trigger, they are part of the app and you don't need supplementary PowerAutomate. It is enough to have PowerApps licenses. Otherwise if you are using inside the solution another type of trigger (recurrence, automated flow) you will be needed PowerAutomate license (only for the user owning the flow).

2. Yes, if there are 5 users using the app, all this users need to have a PowerApps license if the flows is part of the app.

Hi All

While on this question. If my PowerApps does not use any premium connections but it calls a Power Automate which consist of Premium Connectors, do I need the Preimum license for the flow or the PowerApps?

My company bought Per Flow plan for Power Automate will those PowerApps still require its own premiums or will it pick up that the flow has preimum and then run?

If your app call an instant powerautomate flow then you need a PowerApps license. If the flow is an automated one or an instant with other trigger the power automate flow license should be enough.

Thank you @gabibalaban , so if I may take this question further. If my PowerApp has a premium connection and my Power Automate has also premium connection, that means I require both licenses, is that correct?

What I would like to know is that if your Power Automate has premium connections but it is triggered via PowerApps, do you need PowerAutomate license or do you need PowerApp license or both?

Bare in mind, PowerApps does not have any other premium connection requirement except triggering the workflow that has Premium Connections.

I think I have just proven it, if the PowerAutomate has Per-flow license and PowerApps is calling it as an instant flow, the per flow licenses covers the PowerApps as well unless in PowerApps you have Premium connections.
