The new Power Apps grid control in model-driven apps is officially in public preview! This control can be used for both read-only and editable scenarios, supports infinite scrolling for a modern browsing experience, and allows pro-dev makers to customize the appearance of cells. @sofiang Are you trying to edit the values in the designer? The visual of the grid suggest it is in edit mode (the vertical and horizontal lines between rows and columns). Can you edit those fields in a form?

@eugacc with the cell customizer, you should have full control over the behavior of the cell. Your particular scenario of opening a side panel instead of navigating away from the grid is a scenario we are looking to support OOB without needing any customized cells.
With regards to the filtering issue, can you provide a specific use case that isn't working (including which filter mechanism you are attempting)? Thanks!

@bgad We are still working on cleaning up some items for the grid and will GA the grid after that is complete.
Hey @MichelH my apologies for not responding sooner. I do not believe sufficient APIs exist for Excel to allow it to be used as a replacement for the product grid. You can copy data from Excel into the Power Apps grid, however.
Hey @MattVizor my apologies for not responding sooner. Would the nested grid feature solve your issue, since both the parent and nested grid could be editable and would not require you to click into any individual record to make updates?
Thanks for your feedback @DKassian I assume you do not have the same issue with the lookup control (in forms) since you can select the view with the required fields to differentiate records?

That would be really nice, and ideally to have open side panel only on primary entity link click and still able editing rest of grid directly inline. Then Most quick edits can be done directly in grid in "Excel" style and detailed updates in a side panel in form. Additionally, with infinite scrolling option ON, if you navigate away from grid then you go back to beginning, loosing scrolled positon, which is quite annoying for users to scroll back and find requred line again, as they work line by line to process orders.
For filtering, it seems that issue related to Grid filter option scenario. After switching to Quick find behavior in Environment settings (Option "Use quick find view of an entity for searching on grids and sub-grids" is ON)
Quick find works fine. Switching OFF to grid filter not working correctly.
if I had JumpBar ON we had issue where after scrolling down will jump up again for some reason. After swithcing settings as Jump Bar in "Auto" it seems helped, no more jumps.
As you can see per attached screenshot, most often I would have * (star) in View name, which normally indicating that view is customized and required to save. And eventually after switching different views I would get blank screen, as per second screen attached, (despite number of records in that view). Refresh whole page will show all records again and without star sign. Possibly its related to saving Filter configuration issue. I go Edit Filter, change condition, hit Apply, grid refresh bot nothing changed. Go back to Edit filter, its same settings as before, not updated.

We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.
