Power apps per app plan

Hello, 

i have a situation about power apps per app plan, i read about per app plan and it stated that it could be stacked to one user but in different environment, for example if user have four apps needed premium connector, is power apps per app plan could stack in same or one environment or it should be in separated environment ?

Within the same environment you can still specify on an app by app basis whether that app can use per app licenses or not.  If you turn that off for a specific app that SHOULD free up the licenses.  I don't think its enough just to unshare the app from the user. But that would require testing.

@Pstork1 hi, can you please help. What if an app is shared with AD group, will the per app plan count the number of member in the group and assign licenses and then if you need to free a license then you just remove the user from the group or you need to share the app with individual users to consume the per app plan license?

If the app is shared with an AD group then each user in the group will be assigned a license the first time they use the app. The license is consumed by each user, but only when they actually use the app, not when it is shared.  Removing the user from the group will not deallocate the license if they have already used the app. There is supposed to be a way to reclaim the license, but I've never been able to find an actual way to do it.

Just tested that and can confirm:

2 Apps in the same environment, 1 Power Apps per app plan assigned to the environment. Test App (my first app) had 'Auto assign per app passes​' ON, shared with 2 unlicensed test users - both can access the app. Now when I created Prod App (my second app) my unlicensed users could not access it. Unsharing Test App and sharing Prod App did not fix the problem. What fixed it was disabling 'Auto assign per app passes​' in Test App and enabling it in Prod App. Thank you!
