PowerApps and Sharepoint List access permission

Each time a user want to lookup a value in the combo box they get below errors.

"You dont have permission to use this lookup. Server Response: The response is not in a JSON format."

Please help!

@Anonymous It's almost the same process

• Go to your SharePoint site.
• Click on the desired list you're trying to have access.

an example is shown in the image below.

After you click on the list, by the right hand side of the page, you will see an info button as shown below

• Click on the button to show the list permission settings.
• Click on manage access

When you click on manage access, you will find some permission settings

which can be set to full control

like I said earlier, if you're not the owner of the list, you need the owner to give you the full permission access

You can check the list members  edit button to see what access you have as displayed in the image above.

Just an FYI...don't get confused by my response to @A-Roosevelt   The point made in that response is absolutely relevant, AND essentially what I suggested (in a backward way).

Since we were focusing on the Read ability for the list, I took you the direction of the Visitor group change.  That WILL impact permission to the entire site. If you are adding "everyone" to the Visitor group even if through the list permissions (because at that point you are modifying the site group), then you are granting to everyone the read ability.

This is usually all just fine because, at a bare minimum, users need read access to the site in order to be able to use anything in PowerApps.

If you want finer control of permissions to the list, then you can add individual people or groups to just the list and that will confine them to just that list.

Yes, I don't believe that @Anonymous was having the issue on their use of the app...it was others that were experiencing the problem.

Can a user given access to "Can View" only be able to submit form in power app?

I am struggling with the same issue here. If you grant the "View only" access to the users, they still won't be able to submit a form.

Currently I'm playing with the permissions and what I want to achieve, is to prevent users from accessing the Sharepoint list, yet be able to submit the PowerApp form.
