I have an issue where I need to delete the latest version of an App but the options are greyed out.
Unfortunatley all the options are disabled for some reason so I can't even restore a previous version to jump above it.
I have exported a copy of this out and reimported it as a new app to see if that would let me back in but that didn't work either.
Has anyone else experienced this? I have multiple Apps but the others will all let me restore and delete versions
Hi @Anonymous ,
I just tested with my apps and cannot reproduce your issue:
Please try to create a new app to test if this issue is only specific to this one. If so, please share the session ID of this app.
Regards,
Mona
It is just the one app where I am having this issue. I have included the session ID below.
Session ID: 70ab122a-4819-4707-b952-30043f15dec4
PowerApps 3.19061.8
Kind regards
Kelly
I have also had an issue with the Delete option being grayed out in PowerApps. I have deleted the SharePoint feeding the PowerApp form but still cannot seem to delete my PowerApp.
I am having similar issue as well.
I am actually able to restore Version 11 and Version 12 but not any of the versions from 10 and earlier. I am suspecting it has something to do with the Power App release versions. If you look closely, starting from Version 10, the Power App release has a different release version number.
I also read it from this question:
the accepted answer also talks about Power App versions although I am not 100% sure it meant the same thing that I am guessing.
Same here.
I made an edit - it went wrong and I need to start again from the published version (because it saves every 2 mins) - (Powerapps form from a SharePoint list)
I cannot delete the edited version (greyed out) and cannot restore the published version (greyed out). I switched to my Power Platform admin account and got the same.
It seems to me like you can store versions but cannot do anything with them???
What privilege's are missing here?
I'm finding the same thing. There seems to be something I'm not considering regarding versioning. I would really like some comments on this issue because it's costing me hours of time to undo a mistake, which with any other versioning system should have taken less than a minute.
I edited the "live" version (fortunately in a Development site) but the site hadn't been touched for 6 months (and 8 days!!! - taking note of the limit on restores to 6 months).
The edit went wrong and I deleted a card by accident. Apparently it saves every 2 mins.
Now I have version 336 that is a dud (please don't ask why we have that many versions - it's not the issue) and I cannot delete it and start again from version 335. All the options are greyed out. Including for 334.
Is it because of the 6 month timeout or is it because the Power Apps release has changed?
I am guessing the solution is to change my workflow to immediately publish a new version every time I want to do an edit, then I will have a less than 6 month old, and current Power Apps release version to return to if my development version experiments go wrong.
Thanks in advance ...
I understand this is an old thread but I came across the same issue recently. I selected a prior ("working") version - which does not have delete/restore faded out - and restored it. That way, it becomes the "latest" version, which I can edit - instead of the "current" version, where I made mistakes.
I hope this is understandable - and that it helps someone!
