PowerApps unable to connect to Teams: "Failed to execute Skype backend request GetThreadS2SRequest"

Anyone know how I can troubleshoot this issue?  For weeks, the PowerApps canvas app has been running perfectly and able to use the Teams connection. PowerApps has been able to retrieve the list of channels for the Team and flawlessly post messages to any channel. Yesterday, I got this message:

MicrosoftTeams.GetChannelsForGroup failed: { "error": { "code": "BadRequest", "message": "Failed to execute Skype backend request GetThreadS2SRequest.", "innerError": { "request-id": "5f19d70a-d98a-4485-9bc4-ed86db5050f9", "date": "2020-04-17T21:13:26" } } }

This error message is shown by the PowerApps gallery that usually presents a list of Channels for the Team.  The Teams ID was verified and is correct and is unchanged. I own the Office 365 tenant and am the administrator and only user of the PowerApps app.  I've deleted the Teams connection in PowerApps and then re-added. I've deleted the PowerApps gallery and re-added. I see there are 2 or 3 other questions about this issue on this forum, however, it's not clear if they apply to this situation. Why would PowerApps and Teams suddenly decide they're not friends any more?

Does anyone have any guidance on how I can troubleshoot the PowerApps -to- Teams connection? Thank you.

Hi,

Looking through other similar threads like the ones below; it seems like this error typically comes into play when it is trying to access a Teams that you don't have access to. Now you state that this was working before and that you are an admin so I'm not quite certain what the issue would be in that case. This might be a better question to bring to the Microsoft Support Team. I'll include a link below; on how to create a ticket with them if you would like to go down that path.

Thanks very much for the reply. Instead of troubleshooting the PowerApps -to- Teams issue, I deleted the gallery in PowerApps and the Team in Microsoft Teams. The Team was recreated and the Gallery was added back in my PowerApps canvas app. Things are magically working again.

I've been working with PowerApps for 14 weeks. I still question if PowerApps is ready for use in a production environment. I won't have the option to delete and re-add a Microsoft Team after the app is released to the users.  While I'm on the subject, PowerApps has other issues such as the inability to natively invoke SQL stored procedures, the inability to use UpdateContext within a ForAll loop, and the insane policy of having to pay for a premium subscription just to connect to a database (SQL Server, MySQL, Aurora, etc.).  The list is much longer, but you get the point. Thanks for the response. I'm sure I'll have occasion to use the links for Microsoft Tech Support in the near future.
