Progress not saved app lost

Hi, this is the 3rd time I've built this same app and it crashes every time I try to link a navigation to a checklist - my client is very unhappy with the time wasted so far and all progress lost (i've tried in edge and now in chrome, and downloaded the app to my pc and theres an error - won't let me log into my clients 365 account....) Nothing is working.

Hi @mattrussell,

 

Is this only happening to this specific app? Have you tried to create a new one? I saw you tried with edge and chrome, how about IE? Please clear cache and then have a test.

 

Also, could you please describe in detail when did the error occur? Since you said that it won't let me log into my clients 365 account, did you mean that you got the error when you tried to connect to a connection in app? Maybe some screenshots could help understand better.

This was my first time using, but the same error occurred 3 separate times in different iterations of the app (being forced to "Start a new session").
> Firstly, this was not a duplicate support request, it was a different failure / event in the other message (not just the same one posted twice 🙂
> The error normally occurred when trying to link a cover page button to a form that I'd created.
> When the error occurred, the pop up box gave me the data I shared (to send to support), and only one option - to restart the session (losing hours of work each time, no progress saved? How strange to not protect your data?)
> The first few fails were in Edge, then I used Chrome
> Then I downloaded the Desktop app on my PC (thinking it might save my progress) - however I couldn't connect the desktop app up with my company user account (so that stalled), I could have used my personal / business 365 account, however I wanted it saved on the company cloud, not on my own (not knowing how to move it once finished). The error I receive there is an access error, and that I need to talk to my administrator.

If someone, somewhere can re-instate my earlier session (before I lost all my work, like another user said had happened) then I'd be in a much better place, or even if anyone can tell me how to save progress instead of fail / total loss(?!) seems like a problem someone in the world could solve. As I said, my client was not happy and I was forced back to access 2016 to produce a result today - but I still want this resolved, as I'd like to come back with an application that works 😊 (in my own time now, I might add)

@mattrussell Are you able to restore the earlier version of your work through the web portal?

 

In your list of apps in the portal, use the 'elipses' button to bring up the details view. In the details view, click the versions tab to access your earlier verions.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Users must provide a solution which can be an “Accepted Solution” in the Forums in all of the communities and there are no limits to the number of “Accepted Solutions” that a member can provide for entries in this challenge, but each entry must be substantially unique and different.    Winner Selection and Prizes: At the end of each week, we will list the top ten (10) Community users which will consist of: 5 Community Members & 5 Super Users and they will advance to the final drawing. We will post each week in the News & Announcements the top 10 Solution providers.  At the end of the challenge, we will add all of the top 10 weekly names and enter them into a random drawing.  Then we will randomly select ten (10) winners (5 Community Members & 5 Super Users) from among all eligible entrants received across all weekly Entry Periods to receive the prize listed below.
