Radio button onchange doesn't trigger following a reset if the previously cleared option is chosen

I have a number of radio buttons which are set to reset when a different button is pressed. They are also set to update items in a collection when a value is chosen using the on change property. Their default values are based on the values in the previously mentioned collection. When a new item is created these values are empty strings and the radio buttons have no selected option.

When I select an option the first time the on change code runs. After resetting there is again no option selected, but if the option selected  is  the same as the option before the reset then the on change code does not run. If a different option is selected then the on change code runs.

I have checked that both the SelectedText.Value and Selected.Value are cleared after reset and change when a radio button is selected, but this does not lead to the on change code firing if it was the previous button that was selected.
I would have expected the on change to fire when the Selected.Value or SelectedText.Value goes from nothing to something, or at least for the radio button to work the same way after a reset as it would when you first open the app.

Is this a bug or how the radio button behaviour is supposed to work?

I guess a workaround is to use the on select rather than on change, I don't think in this case it will cause any issues.

I've made a similar test and found the same problem as your description.

But this problem is not cased by the function of Reset.

Please notice that, if the radio has no default, the OnChange will not be triggered at the first time you make a selection. 

So if you change the raido's SelectedText from null to a value, the OnChange will not be triggered.

OnChange will be triggered only if the radio's value chang from one to another( both not null).

I have two ways to solve this problem for your reference:

1)use OnSelect

2)set the radio's Default to a value (not null)

Thanks @v-yutliu-msft  for your reply about the radio buttons, I have in the past used a default value, but in this case it would require adding a different option just to have a default, cluttering up the UI. The radio does have a default value, but this will be null when an item is newly created.

I do find differences to the behaviour that you mentioned and I will outline what I see below.

1. With no selection in the radio button I make a selection, this triggers the OnChange and the result of the selection is used to collect a record.
2. After clearing the collection and resetting the control there is no selection for the radio buttons. If I chose a different option the OnChange is triggered and the result of the selection is used to collect a record.
3. As before after clearing the collection and ressetting the control there is no selection for the radio buttons. If I chose the option that was selected prior to ressetting the OnChange is not triggered and there is no record in the collection.

This leads me to say that resetting the radio buttons do not restore them to the same state that they are in prior ro being used for the first time and that the behavior depends on what you select and what was previosly selected.

I have a solution to this that doesn't involve using on select and is very simple to implement.

All you have to do it setup an If statement on the Item property of the radio that changes to a different Set than the original.

whereever you are setting the radio to reset, just use the same variable for both reseting the variable and switching the Item.
