Hello everyone, I am creating a order form in powerapps and want to allow the vendor to reset the form to default values but I am unable to do so. Below is my code for reference.
My input is
However, when I clicked on reset button, only the order ID input field has been reset.
My output is
For both quantity and estimated delivery date, I have used variables as its default control (which I can view the individual values after clicking on view order details button)
May I know how should I modify my code to reset all properties? Thank you so much.

@Anonymous I cannot see the full error messages, try this (modified Lookup -> LookUp)
//'Default' propery of Text Input Control 'Quantity'
LookUp(OrderList, OrderID = input_orderIDD.Text, Quantity)
//'Default' propery of Text Input Control 'Estimated Delivery Date'
LookUp(OrderList, OrderID = input_orderIDD.Text, EstDeliveryDate)
Hello @Drrickryp . I have tried the solution but I ran into an issue. May I know how to fix this? Thank you.
if @Drrickryp his solution somehow gives another error could u check the app checker and send us the full error msg from there? It sometimes gives more details. If that doesn't make it clear what the issue is u can always open a monitor session see second screenshot.
And u could share us the errors from there aswell. While having a monitor session open try to reset it. The one which works and the one which doesn't. See the difference. Where are the errors etc.
If this helps please kudo the post. If it solves your issue please make sure to mark this as solution.
Hello @Drrickryp and @Anonymous
I am not using edit form for my powerapp.
I use order ID, quantity, estimated delivery date as labels and only order ID is the input field. So essentially, with order ID, it will display the quantity and estimated delivery date of the order with corresponding order ID in sharepoint list. May i know what code should I replace to reset all fields? Thank you.
@Anonymous you said you used variables as default values for the labels. Do you also update them when you click the Reset button? Can't you use this as the default value?
Lookup(MyDataSource, OrderIdColumn = OrderIdTextInput.Text, QuantityColumn)
Lookup(MyDataSource, OrderIdColumn = OrderIdTextInput.Text, EstimatedDeliveryDateColumn)
Hello @Akser , in fact I did set the variable to those formulas that you mentioned. However, when I click on reset, only the order ID input has been reset.
@Anonymous I meant set the 'Default' value of 'Text Input' controls of 'Quantity' and 'Estimated Delivery Date' to the formula I shared. That will ensure that whenever your 'Order ID' changes, these formulas will be recalculated on the spot and the value shown in these controls will change accordingly.
//'Default' propery of Text Input Control 'Quantity'
Lookup(OrderList, OrderID = input_orderIDD.Text, Quantity)
//'Default' propery of Text Input Control 'Estimated Delivery Date'
Lookup(OrderList, OrderID = input_orderIDD.Text, EstDeliveryDate)
P.S. Never share a screenshot of a formula, just copy and paste it here so we don't have to rewrite it 😉
Hi @Akser thanks but my default property of my respective controls are set to variables
which I need for my view order details code when i do lookup the OrderList based on the Order ID.
Part of my code
If(
(CountRows(
Filter(
OrderList,
OrderID = input_orderIDD.Text
)
) = 0),
//CountRows(orderinfo),
Notify(
"Your order details cannot be found. Please enter a valid order ID.",
NotificationType.Error,
3000
),
//Notify("Your order status can be found below.",NotificationType.Success,3000));
Notify(
"Your order details can be found below.",
NotificationType.Success,
3000
)
);
Set(
StatusVar5,
LookUp(
OrderList,
OrderID = input_orderIDD.Text
).OrderStatus
);
Set(
QuantityVar5,
LookUp(
OrderList,
OrderID = input_orderIDD.Text
).Quantity
);
Set(
EDDVar5,
LookUp(
OrderList,
OrderID = input_orderIDD.Text
).EstDeliveryDate
);
