Reterive value from screen

Hi, I have 2 SharePoint lists connected to a power app. What i am trying to achieve is how to retrieve Order number which is in detail form (connected to the 1st List) show in edit form Order number (connected to 2nd list) after clicking on + icon to navigate to edit form from Detail form.
Is that achievable? If yes what would be the formula?

Hi @kanwals360 

You could pass the Order number from DetailForm to EditForm using the formula. In 'OnSelect' property of + icon add the following formula:

Navigate(<EditScreenName>,Transition.None, {varOrderNumber:<DataCardValue4>.Text});

replace EditScreenName and DataCardValue4 as per your application. Assuming DataCardValue4 is the textbox control that holds value of Order Number in Detailform.

In EditScreen, update the 'Item' property of EditForm as mentioned below:

LookUp(<List2>,OrderNumber = varOrderNumber);

and make sure that, the DefaultMode propety of EditForm is set as 'FormMode.Edit'.

@ManishSolanki , I successfully been through the 1st part where we click on + icon and enter the formula. Please see below screenshot.

In edit screen, after selecting form and changing property to "Item" I entered "LookUp('Track Machine Analysis_1', DataCardValue57.Text = varWONumber)" seems like I am doing something wrong here. (DataCardValue57 is the name of the text where WOnumber should go from Detail form).

Please modify the lookup formula, replace DataCardValue57.Text with the Order number column in 'Track Machine Analysis_1' SharePoint list.

LookUp('Track Machine Analysis_1',<Order Number column name in Track Machine Analysis_1>= varOrderNumber);

I have modified the formula and error has done. When I play the button and click on + icon on details form it navigate to Edit form but show blank page.

Please see the formula - LookUp('Track Machine Analysis_1', WONumber = varWONumber)

The WONumber in the list is actually spelled "WO Number" if I enter with space then I am getting error message. Please see below.

I can also confirm that default mode is Edit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pls modify the lookup formula as mentioned below:

LookUp('Track Machine Analysis_1', 'WO Number' = varWONumber)

If there is a space in DataSource or field name, then we should put it inside single quotes '<field name>'.

Thank you @ManishSolanki there is no error this time but edit form is still blank. What could be the cause?

Not sure if I am thinking correctly but don't we need to set var globally if we are passing value from one screen to other?

The form is probably still blank because this request returns nothing 

LookUp('Track Machine Analysis_1', 'WO Number' = varWONumber)

Manually check in your 'Track Machine Analysis_1' SharePoint list if you have a row with the 'WO Number' selected on the detail form.
