Hi! I have an app that is being used for Room Inspections. After the inspection is done, they click a button which sends an email that contains all the failed items in that Room. Something like this:
These tables are coming from an HTML control inside powerapps named "HtmlText1" and "HtmlText1_1". And what I did is just put them inside the SendEmail action.
Like this:
For some reasons, there are times that the email body says "Show HTML Text here". It doesn't happen all the time but it really bothers me. Users have to write all the failed items manually on a piece of paper when this happens.
Is there a way I can fix this? I really don't know why is this happening. Thank you very much.

Hi @_maaaaavs_,
Are the HtmlText controls on a hidden screen or are they visible?
In case they are hidden, use the below formula for the OnSelect property that sends the mail:
Set(
gblHtmlHousekeeping,
"<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>
table {
border: 1px solid #1c6ea4;
background-color: #eeeeee;
width: 100%;
text-align: left;
border-collapse: collapse;
}
table td,
table th {
border: 1px solid #aaaaaa;
padding: 3px 2px;
}
table tbody td {
font-size: 13px;
}
table thead {
background: #orange;
border-bottom: 2px solid #444444;
}
table thead th {
font-size: 15px;
font-weight: bold;
color: #FFFFFF;
border-left: 2px solid #d0e4f5;
}
table thead th:first-child {
border-left: none;
}
</style>
</head>
<body><Table><tr><th>Room</th><th>Failed Items</th><th>Notes</th><th>Department</th></tr>" & Concat(
Filter(
'Failed Rooms',
Department.Value = "Housekeeping" && Created > DateAdd(
Now(),
-1,
TimeUnit.Minutes
)
),
"<tr><td>" & Room & "</td><td>" & 'Failed Items' & "</td><td>" & Notes & "</td><td>" & Department.Value & "</td></tr>"
) & "</table><br><br>"
);
Set(
gblHtmlMaintenance,
"<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>
table {
border: 1px solid #1c6ea4;
background-color: #eeeeee;
width: 100%;
text-align: left;
border-collapse: collapse;
}
table td,
table th {
border: 1px solid #aaaaaa;
padding: 3px 2px;
}
table tbody td {
font-size: 13px;
}
table thead {
background: #orange;
border-bottom: 2px solid #444444;
}
table thead th {
font-size: 15px;
font-weight: bold;
color: #FFFFFF;
border-left: 2px solid #d0e4f5;
}
table thead th:first-child {
border-left: none;
}
</style>
</head>
<body><Table><tr><th>Room</th><th>Failed Items</th><th>Notes</th><th>Department</th></tr>" & Concat(
Filter(
'Failed Rooms',
Department.Value = "Maintenance" && Created > DateAdd(
Now(),
-1,
TimeUnit.Minutes
)
),
"<tr><td>" & Room & "</td><td>" & 'Failed Items' & "</td><td>" & Notes & "</td><td>" & Department.Value & "</td></tr>"
) & "</table><br><br>"
);
If(
Ba3SelectAll.Value && Be3SelectAll.Value,
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(
"user@email.com",
"2/3 Bedroom Failed Itesm (NO BEDROOM 3 / BATHROOM 3) by Inspector " & TextInput2_1.Text,
gblHtmlHouseKeeping & gblHtmlMaintenance & "<br><br>Other Comments: TextInput1.Text,
{Attachments: Bedroom3pics}
)
);
The HtmlText properties of the Html Text controls can then be set to gblHtmlHouseKeeping and gblHtmlMaintenance respectively to show the value of the variables.
Hi @_maaaaavs_ ,
It seems sometimes the mail is sent before the contents of the HTML control are updated, something that was bothering me for a while as well. What I ended up doing was saving the HTML text to a variable first and then use that to send mails and populate the HTML text control. By forcing this order, I got the issue to disappear, for instance:
UpdateContext({lclHTMLtext: "<p>HTML</p>"});
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(
"user@email.com",
"Subject",
lclHTMLtext
)
Thank you. I will definitely try this. If you don't mind, can you teach me the steps by steps on this one? Just to make sure I'm doing it correctly.
Hi @_maaaaavs_ ,
Sure, no problem. Can you please share the current HtmlText properties of the HtmlText1 and HtmlText 1_1?
Sure. The code of each HTML controls are the same.

I will try this. Thank you very much!
I'm getting an error, by the way.
I tried to put it in the OnSelect property but I'm not receiving any input from the email.
Also followed your code on the SendEmail action:
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(
"user.email.com",
"Studio Failed Items by Inspector " & TextInput2_1.Text,
gblHtmlHousekeeping & gblHtmlMaintenance & "<br><br>Other Comments: " & TextInput1_2.Text,

);
Sorry I wasn't reading your reply carefully. Just figured out that I need to put it in he OnSelect property of my button and not my HTML control. Now it's working. Thank you.
