Hi All,
I created a custom form using the "Customize forms" in the Powerapp drop-down in the SPO list.
All works great when you are on a PC, but when you use the mobile SharePoint App the customized form is not display.
How do I get the customized form in the SP APP?
From a PC (using custom form):
When you add an "Assigned To:" person it updates the status to "assigned"
When you enter a complete date, it changes the status to "closed"
Form the Mobile APP (NO Custom form):
The status does not change
Is there a way for the mobile app to get the customized form?
TIA,
Joe

Hi @joef ,
Mobile devices are designed to run off the app (from Google or Apple store) and as you have discovered, Power Apps does not run well in a browser if at all.
One option is to create a new phone-layout app, paste your form into one screen - and create a gallery in anther screen to select the item. I mention the first bit as it works well and all you really need to do is change the Item and put in save and cancel buttons.
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

HI @WarrenBelz ,
Hope all is well 🙂
What will that do the the SPO experience of the list? I like this better than what I was thinking of...
I was thinking of adding to my FLOW a condition if "Date Complete" is populated then update the item's status. Since my "Assigned" FLOW alert checks for a name as well as date completed to be empty, it wont fire off, but the update will fire off another FLOW with the correct status and alerts.
Microsoft really makes you think outside the box!!! Why doesn't MS play well with itself? I can understand the SharePoint Phone app not working with an AWS form, but a PowerApp form?
Thanks again!!
Joe
Hi @joef ,
As you have discovered, the issue is the fact that mobile devices and browser-driven Power Apps do not play together well - they were never designed to and that is why there is an App to drive Power Apps (and there are also SharePoint and Power Automate Apps).
We run over 100 fields staff on iPads and go the other way, running the stand-alone app on PCs. Why I mentioned the copy and paste is that I do this in reverse. The app is developed stand-alone then once finalised, copy the Edit/View/New form into the SharePoint form screen (after re-sizing the canvas and renaming then deleting the old one). All that has to be done then is changing the Item to SharePointIntegration.Selected and it all works.

Hi @WarrenBelz,
I am still trying to wrap my head around this.
If I want to look at the list, do I have to go thru the browse screen of the app?
Do I replace the link to the list to app instead?
Thanks,
Joe
Hi @joef ,
I am not totally clear on your question.
On mobile devices, they need a stand-alone Power App run in the Power Apps app from the App Store. My point was that you can construct one of these without a complete re-write by pasting the SharePoint Integration form you have already built in to this app.
I only mentioned the SharePoint mobile app from the point that one exists, but it looks and operates quite different from the browser version and does not have an integrated PA menu option.

Hi @WarrenBelz ,
I guess my real question is, from the alert on a phone, how do you force the PowerApp APP to open as opposed to SPO app?
If they have to open PowerApps then go the this app, and find the item to update, no one in my org will use it 🙂
We are in a mobile world and the young guns want to do everything on the phone or Ipad.
Me at 60 I like my double 25" monitors to do all my work, an 8" screen is way too small 🙂
Thanks again,
Joe
Hi @joef ,
I will give you the whole process I use for deep linking apps when they can be used on either type of device.
Firstly at App OnStart - determine type of device
Set(
bMobile,
Location.Altitude > 0 || Acceleration.X > 0
)
Now set the Launch syntax
Set(
stLaunch,
If(
bMobile,
"ms-apps:///providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apps/",
"https://apps.powerapps.com/play/"
)
)
Now Launch the app
Launch(
stLaunch & "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx?myparam=" & stxxx
)
So the bit you need presently is to put this in the URL
ms-apps:///providers/Microsoft.PowerApps/apps/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
BTW talking about young guns - to me you are one of those . . .
