Search field in many tabs

Hi. I cannot figure how I supposed to solve my problem. I have app with multiple tabs. In every tab there is search field. My goal is to combine all of these search fields to one. So when I search from page 1, the input field is updated to search from page 1. Likewise also when I search from page 4, the input field is cleared from search from page 1 and is updated to search from page 4.

Hopefully getting some answers.

I tried to add this code to Default of the Input field:

From what you wrote, it seems you have a screen per tab. What you may consider is resetting all of the search fields on the other screens when using the search field on the current screen. This will make them blank.

You can then use the Coalesce() function for your input field: 

Coalesce(Screen1Search.Text, Screen2Search.Text, Screen3Search.Text, Screen4Search.Text)

Basically this will return the value of the search field that is not blank (ie. the one in the current screen).

Let's say you are working on screen 2 and you are using the search field:

To reset the search fields on screens 1, 3, and 4, add this to the OnChange property of the search field on screen 2:

Concurrent(
    Reset(Screen1Search),
    Reset(Screen3Search),
    Reset(Screen4Search)
)

The Concurrent() function is not really needed for this functionality, but it does improve execution time and hence the user experience.
