Select and download images in gallery

Hi, Can you help with selecting check boxes and download the images selected via a download button

I got as far as adding the photos(links are from excel) and adding the checkbox’s, just can’t find the formula to download the select images to my local drive.

if that's no possible the other option is to put download buttons at the top of each photo and user can select 1 photo at a time by clicking on the button above each photo

Does the Download function work well for single one image file?

If you want to download image files from your Gallery based on selected Checkboxes, please check and see if the following thread would help in your scenario:

On your side, you should modify your formula as below:

ForAll(
       Filter(Gallery2.AllItems, Checkbox3.Value = true),
       Download(
                Substitute(First(Split('IMAGE LINK', "?")).Result, "%20", " ")
       )
)

Currently, within PowerApps, there are some known limits with Download function, please check the following article:

For images, videos, and other file types that the browser natively supports, a new browser tab is opened to display the file when you execute the Download function in web browser.

You could consider run your canvas app in PowerApps Mobile App, then execute the Download function, it would ask you to select a folder to store these files.

As another solution, I think the combination of Power Apps and Power Automate flow could achieve your needs. You could consider set up a flow to retrieve image data passed from your canvas app Gallery, then within this flow, you could add a "Create file" action of File System connector to create a file in your local driver.

Note: You could create a connection to your local driver/folder through the the File System connector

The sample flow's configuration as below:

Within "Create file" action of File System connector, File Name field set to following:

item()?['FileName']

File content field set to following:

body('HTTP')?['$content']

The sample app's configuration as below:

set the OnCheck property of the Checkbox in your Gallery to following:

Collect(ImageCollection, {FileName: ThisItem.Name, FileContent: Substitute(JSON(Image2.Image,JSONFormat.IncludeBinaryData), """","")})

set the OnUncheck property of the Checkbox in your Gallery to following:

RemoveIf(ImageCollection, FileName = ThisItem.Name) 

Set the OnSelect property of the "Pass" button to following (press this button to pass image collection to your above flow):

'Your Above Flow Name'.Run(JSON(ImageCollection, JSONFormat.IncludeBinaryData));
Clear(ImageCollection)

just 2 more things

1 - For some reason if i select 3 photos in the check box it only downloads the 1st photo only.

is there a way to fix this?

if not can you guide me how to remove the check box and just have a "Download button" at the top of each photo so i can download one at a time. see example below

2 - if it possible to download the information on the photos, i think its the metadata, i have text labels(Titles), pulled from the same source as the images, its almost like i want to display the information of the photo even after downloading.
