Selecting an attachment from ATTACHMENT CONTROL to upload to another list?

Hi

I have an attachment control, or it could be a filtered gallery which has a LIBRARY as its data source. I would like the user to be able to select the attachment in the gallery to then attach to another list using the ATTACHMENT control. Can anyone think of a way to do this. So basically, instead of clicking on ATTACH from inside the ATTACHMENT CONTROL, I want to select the item to attach from another gallery? The reason I would like to do this is that I want to only show files available which contain the current job number. I can do this by using the "IN" function but I can't work out how to then attach the selected file to the attachment control so that the file can be added to a new list).

You could create a Button that saves the content and name of the selected Item on the first Attachment control, and use this variable in the second Attachment Control in another Gallery.

Thanks will give it a go. I was just trying to use GALERY.SELECTED as the items property for the second attachment control, but this doesn't work.

In the Items property, the Syntax must be like this:

{

Name:FilenameCalculated & ".pdf" // or any other extension

Value:VariableWithFileContent

}

Sorry I had to explain better, you have to provide a Filename, so in your case would be taken for example from the name of the file selected on the first gallery.

So you have to replace FilenameCalculated, the extension that must be taken from the selection of the other gallery and also the VariableWithFileContent must be defined with the Button I suggested before. 

For the exact code, you need to provide also same Screenshot of the 2 galleries and the Name of each Gallery and Field value.

So should I put both attachment controls inside galleries?

The first gallery then should have an attachment control? The items control of the gallery would be: FILTER(CRUD2, JobGantt.Selected.ProjectId in ‘Filename with extension’)

What do I then set the items of the second gallery to be? Do I put a second attachment control inside the second gallery?

Ok I would like to propose to start again from the beginning. I started from the use case you wrote, but I’m figuring out that the starting point must be also defined.

The first point I would define for a case like this is how the source is shown and how the user select the file that you want to copy.

For Sharepoint Lists the galleries are the best method, because you have all the items separated and the attachment is a field of each item.

If you have another constellation, could you please describe it?

So, I have an attachment control (DataCardValue87_2) which lists the items "available". The ITEMS property for this: Filter(CRUD2, JobGantt.Selected.ProjectId in 'Full Path'). 

I have then created a second EditForm containing an Attachment Control (DataCardValue87). So, when I click on one of the items in the first Attachment Control, I want it to appear in DataCardValue87 so that I can then use SUBMITFORM to add the attachment. 

I have tried to follow Warren's Blog by creating a collection when a button is pressed:

I then set the ITEMS property of the second ATTACHMENT CONTROL to "colExcel". 

Two issues are, with the button in pressed, how does one choose which attachment in DatacardValue87_2 is selected? Secondly, when I submit the form, there is no attachment and when I click on the file within DataCardValue87, it says "no file".
