Send email on save

OK so on my new record screen I have a button to save and navigate away from the page, can I add an automatic email send to the button too ? I have an email set up to run from a manual button but people forget so I want to add it to the save button

You could try using the Office365Outlook Connector, and then run 

<Whatever code you run now> && Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2("Email recipent", 
                             "Enter the email title here", 
                             "Enter your email message here"

Yes you can do that. You need to add the add the Office 365 Outlook connector to your app first. Then you can format and add this code to your save button

In the below I assume I need to save the data to the sharepoint list before sending an email using the data I assume I need some form of connector adding && after Navigate(Project_Details);) doesnt seem to help

Hello Chris, 

Have you added the Office365Outlook connector? You find it under Data, where you can also add datasources. 
You dont have to save the email on Sharepoint first, you can simply send it directly from PowerApps.

I would also flip it around, I always have Navigate at the end of my code. 

Also, from what I see, by using ThisItem.'Submitted by' you send the email to whoever submitted the item, I dont know if that is on purpose. 

Did the rest of the code work fine before you added the Email part?

yes I can send this email from a separate button but I want to add it to the one button

yes this is intentional as it has further instructions in the email

so 2 things come to mind

1) do I remove the bracket after Project Details);) and add ;; or && before the Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(

full detail with email addresses and some text content missing I get the red line under the words -  office 365 outlook etc

is it because it is on a form new and cant find " this item" as it hasnt been saved until they click this button ?

Do not chain commands after SubnitForm(). Put them in the OnSuccess property of the form. Otherwise, they can execute before the form is successfully submitted.
