Sending Data Between Screens

Good afternoon - Looking for help on the following:

1) I have a gallery with parts/services for users to select. IF a user selects a checkbox(es), I would like the 3 data fields (ItemCode, Description, and Price) from the gallery to be passed to my PO request screen and the 3 data fields info put into the Text Input Fields (Line1PartNo,  Line1ItemDescription, Line1UnitPrice) on PO screen. I'm thinking I have to do something with variables...

PO Request Screen:

1A) How do I handle if a user selected multiple gallery items and have the data populate to correct text input field (as I'm not using a form on the PO Request Screen)

2. How do I reset/clear the check box control if someone uses checkbox to select item(s) when button is selected?

Reset function didn't seem to work...

Thank You

I’ll have to try Reset function before NAV, as currently I have after.

then yes just reset it before you navigate away and set its default to false, or if you want it to be say checked if same user comes back then use the variable version and set its default to that variable so that it can be set to true, or false, and reset will keep it how it is intended to currently be

Gallery is just source data (list of items for end user reference / low budget catalog) from OneDrive Excel file.

Thanks for help @TheRobRush

Ended up doing the following:

Checkbox Property = variable (ResetCheckbox)

Checkbox Default Property = False

OnSelect Property For Button = UpdateContext({ResetCheckbox:true});UpdateContext({ResetCheckbox:false});Navigate(PORequestScreen1,ScreenTransition.Cover)

One key detail researched was my button was outside of gallery...

Now, to try out the solution for passing data from one screen to another.

I've created the COLLECTION (colItems) with items I checked with check box control.

But, still unsure how to proceed with putting the data selected from gallery in respective text inputs on PO screen.

  -I can navigate to the screen. But, stuck at placing the data from collection into fields.

Button to reset check box, navigate to PO screen, and lastly add collection items to proper fields and not duplicate.

Meaning if 3 items selected, I need the collection items to be placed in respective rows/lines.

Now that you uave three items in a collection together all you have to do is make that next screen a gallery, with the collection as its source. However many items you collect will all show up as line items in it, all laid out however you design that gallery

Hi - good morning @TheRobRush

yes, I do have the items showing up in a gallery. But, do to how I designed my PO request screen, I still need the items selected put into individual PO request screen text input fields. As I’m submitting multiple inputs via PowerApp to flow via the multiple individual text input fields on PO request screen.

I guess I need to assign countrows function for the collection so I can grab the specific rows from collection and put those values into specific row/column on PO request screen.

this is my first few months learning PowerApps.

 Thanks

Yah looking at the collection you made where its like {Value: number}, {Value:Name}, {Value: Price}

I would have doen it more like {ItemNumber:Number, Desription: Name, Amount:Item Price} so that then my gallery or PO Request screen would simply be a gallery with each item laid out how you laid it out before, only connected. Then the clients will be able to say put in 3 or 4 different requests at a time, and sending them in to the flow is as simple as dropping a forall into your powerautomate action to send it multiple times for each request made, and the individual values will be easily referenceable because it will be just the control names for each lien item

@TheRobRush  check it out:

I have it working to where the COLLECTION items are populating into the singular fields, per the below formula:

First(colItems).Item

tbomar_0-1655290980313.png

But, if I do more than 1 item in my collection, the last/first item in collection repeats…

Here is formula utilizing for the following singular fields:

Not sure how to offset the formula to not repeat the item(s) again.

It’s obvious that it’s repeating based on the LASTN formula…
