Sending Two Separate Emails using one Flow

Hello All,

 

I am wanting to send 2 separate emails using one flow. I have created the initial Flow to send an email then click "Next Step" and select "Send an Email(V2)", not sure the difference between V2 and non V2,. The problem is that I need to write out both emails' "To", "Subject" and "Body" in PowerApps and not in the email fields given in the Flow.

 

I have selected "SendAnEmail_To" and the "Subject" & "Body" ones, for both Emails

I have written the code for the First Email I want to send including the "To", "Subject" and "Body":

How do I write the code for the next one ? How do I distinguish that its the code for the second email?

Is your goal to send the same email to multiple people?  Or would you like two completely different emails?

Two Separate emails to Two separate recipients.

 

First email would be to the Training Team as a Confirmation Notification 

 

Second to the "User().Email"  (The Requester of this Training Request Portal). A confirmation email

 

So, two different emails to two separate people.

Your current idea is to send 2 emails in the same Flow.

 

My idea would be to send 1 email in the Flow.  Then you could call the same Flow 2 times from PowerApps.

 

Does this idea fit well with your scenario?

I think you can just add two 'Send an Email(V2)' actions into the flow, the second one is named as 'Send an Email(V2) 2'.

When you add the Dynamics Content, please ensure the trigger body is correct, each of them should be Ask in PowerApps.

He could take the approach you described but why not build the Flow that is more generic and is therefore re-usable for several projects instead of just this one?

Of course, that would be more logical and reasonable, but my original intention was to help him find out why it was currently wrong. Your suggestion could be more suitable.

Thanks for the help. I will be accepting Solutions, but I have one question. 

 I made the Training Lead Co-Owner to the app so that he could create a flow with his email. What I have is a Request Portal for Trainers to Request coaching sessions. At the end of the request form there is a "Submit" button. "OnSelect" of that "Submit" button is where I had the Training Leas create the flow so that when the trainer clicks the "Submit" button, an email will be sent from the Training Leads Email (In the flow the Training Lead put his email into the "From" field), but I just tested the flow as a trainer and after clicking "Submit" the request is registered into the SharePoint (Where all the requests go) but no email is sent. Do you know why that is?

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
