Service limitation on sharepoint choice field

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to do the following -basic- setup (after testing numerous different ways of getting it done):

- I have a sharepoint list called 'PrimaryList' which contains 3 records. I use this list in a Dropdown box (works fine). In addition, I store the Dropdown.Selected.Value in a Label (label1)

- I have a second sharepoint list called 'ChildList' which initially contained a lookup towards PrimaryList, however I understood that I cannot filter the ChildList through LookUp. So instead, I reproduced the values of the PrimaryList in a Choice field (PrimaryListChoiceValues) on the ChildList sharepoint list, assuming that the article (https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/connection-sharepoint-online/) which says 'Choice: Yes (single values only)' means that this should work.

- Next, I added the gallery on ChildList and set the Items property to: Filter(ChildList,PrimaryListChoiceValues.Value = Label1.Text)

I also tried: Filter(ChildList,Label1.Text in PrimaryListChoiceValues.Value)

-> Both give me the service limitation blue dot. 

Guess I'm stuck and maybe I tried for too long to find a solution and cannot see the easy solution anymore... 🙂

Hi GertVonck,

Both Lookup and Choice column are supported(single value only).

According to your description, I create two SharePoint lists, List1 and List2.

List1 has three records. List2 has a Lookup column looks up to List1 and a Choice column contains the three records in List1.

Then I add a Dropdown control, and set its Item property: List1.Title.

Add a gallery, set its Item property(I try with both the Choice column and Lookup column):
Filter(List2,choice.Value=Dropdown1.Selected.Value)
Filter(List2,lookup.Value=Dropdown1.Selected.Value)

Both the two functions will return the proper value though there is a blue dot suggestion saying that there is a service limitation.

This is a follow-up to Gert's question, as i am currently receiving this problem on my PowerApps. I am using Filter with my Sharepoint list, but I am still limited to the 500 delegation limit.

Here is my example:

1. The first picture is my Access extraction of the list showing line #500 (of 914). This item is searched correctly in my PowerApps.

2. This is my PowerApps showing item #500 correctly.

3. Item #501 is not shown in the filter, but can be seen in the Access. All items above the 500 delegation limit does not appear.

4. This is the formula used in my PowerApps.
