SharePoint Canvas App Publish on App Source

Hello,

I have a canvass PowerApps app with SharePoint as data store.

I wanted to if it is possible to publish it on App Source without any additional configuration.

If it is getting published on App Source, then any other organization will be able to download and use it.

I also wanted to know if a new SharePoint connection will be created for others that will be solely for their organization. There will no relation with my organization SharePoint

and What about the rules set up on SharePoint and How the users will be given access if the SharePoint it allowed only for limited users and not for whole organization.

Power apps is not there to create an app accessible for everyone. It is made to resolve business problems. 

You can use the wrap function to make it accessible to through Playstore but it will always be linked to your tenant (means your organization). 

you could of course export it and import it  into another environment/tenant (organization) but the changes that you make in your environment will not be applied to the apps in other environments. you would have to export and import them again. 

The rules set up on Sharepoint will also apply to the app. so if a user don't has acces to the sharepoint, the app will not be able to showcase any data. There are ways around that problem though. You have the possibility to share connections as well, but you need to think this through if it's really a good idea because the users will than have acces through this account. 

Be aware that you always have to make sure, that every user has to have the appropriate licenses to use the apps.

So, Whatever lists, columns, or even automate flow that i have created within my organization will get copied if a user downloads it from App Source correct?

and when we deploy the app on App Source, there are steps(Publish your app on AppSource - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn) that we need to follow for uploading it to App Source. During those steps, all the configuration gets identified and those same configurations will be used for setting up the app in other organizations. Correct?

I was worried about the SharePoint configuration in other organizations, like do they need to create a SharePoint list and columns on their own and then connect it to PowerApps, It would have been a hassle for them, then what is the use of getting it from App Source.

Well they will need to create the SharePoint list on their own. To avoid that you would need to create the app with Dataverse. You can add dataverse Tables to your solution and export them with the app to upload it to Datasource.

Oh, okay. I thought my problem was resolved! It's better to have clarity now. 

For Dataverse, one should have premium license, I was hoping for going free of cost on app usage.

Another question, if we are connecting any other dB such SQL then too it will not be possible to push it on App Source?

The only tables you can add are Dataverse Tables. 

By the way the SQL connector is also a premium connector so it wouldn't reduce the costs at all.
