Sharepoint: add button with hyperlink

Hello,

Inside Sharepoint calendar, there are existing forms related to tasks, ticket numbers.

Among other fields there are task numbers and related users (there are dates and times, descriptions, abstracts, notes as well).

Tasks are text fields (number to be entered) and users are being placed into drop down menu, users to be chosen from it, one user per task.

Specific user (one) is doing the task at the website defined by it's URL.

For that one user, there is a need to create hyperlink button at the Sharepoint form.

That button should open browser with the hyperlink, example:

https : // pagewithdetails . com / index : thetasknumber

Of course, tasks are being placed in calendar, there may be many tasks, even more than one task per day.

After data inside form are entered and saved, user should be able to click the button at that form and the new browser window, should be opened using the form explained, with the URL:

https : // pagewithdetails . com / index : thetasknumber (the page itself is always the same, and thetasknumber is to be taken from the field at the form, which was updated at the calendar).

Button (for opening the new browser window) should be in active state only when that user is being chosen from the dropdown list mentioned above.

I already made the solution using different approach, without using Sharepoint hyperlink; I used Powershell. User may capture the task number from the Sharepoint task form, start the Powershell script using Desktop shortcut, the script is taking the task number from clipboard (as being taken, copied to it) and start new browser window with that specific number.

Finally, it needs to be implemented at a kind of Calendar Form, having one ore more tasks (with task number there), or probably zero during weekends. There should be few fields in that Form with texts, some dropdowns, and that button should check some of those fields for valid data inside, then is has to get active status, to open new browser window with URL, when clicked.

Sharepoint Designer is outdated.

Now, I am trying to simplify it, using the Sharepoint form with button, to do that in better way.

Please, anyone has experience with this, there should be, as mentioned, button at the form, with the hyperlink and auto-opening other browser window, with the URL being extended with the task number, with the if-check if the user is the one chosen at the drop down list?

With or without Designer and PowerApps? Maybe, with just simple additional objects at the Sharepoint page, being added there?

Based on your description, I suppose it is quite easy using customized PowerApps form embedded in the SP list. You can add an additional button on the screen and set its DisplayMode to show it only in View mode, set OnSelect with Launch function to open a new tab with the URL you defined in the parameter.
