Show Job Folder (specific folder in document library) in Form

Hi guys. I am brand new to PowerApps and this is my first post here. So please bare with me.

- First of all, We have a sharepoint document library synced to everyones file explorer.

- I am now working on a sharepoint list to manage our opportunities. Trying to get away from 3rd party solutions we pay for in addition to E3.

- I didnt like the default list form so I decided to dive into powerapps. I found a video on making a tabbed form and adapted it to my needs. I decided on 5 tabs as you will see in the images below. Details, Contacts, Attachments (will rename to "Job Files" if I can get this to work, Comments, & History.

Here is what I have so far....

Spoiler
App1.pngApp2.png

You will notice I have 2 of the 5 tabs I have settled on figured out.

The 3rd tab "Attachments" is where I want to show the files specific to this job (list item). I have read a few post on connecting document library to powerapps but I cannot get it to work the way I am visualizing.

When a user opens/edits a list item, and clicks the attachments tab Ide like the following to show up. Screenshot taken from browsing the document library normally. I included the path in the image to show kinda how our file system is setup.

It would be awesome if it was possible to browse these files and open them from within that 3rd tab of the app form.

If what I am wanting is not possible, then I would like to use the Attachments tab to attach job related emails

I anxiously await some feedback. I am having a blast learning this stuff.

Hi @Richard_AAL ,

Do you want to show up your SP Library document browser files when you press the "Attachments" tab in your custom form app?

If you want to show up your SP Library document browser files when you press the "Attachments" tab in your custom form app, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

Currently, there is no control supported within PowerApps to show up SP Library Browser files. If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas

As an alternative solution, you could consider add another Edit form within your "Attachments" tab, then connect this Edit form to your same "opportunities" List as the Edit form in your first "Details" tab. Then enable "Attachments" field data card in this Edit form, then you could use the Attachments control to upload files from your local Machine folder.

More details about enable "Attachments" field in Edit form connected to SP list, please check the following blog or video:

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/add-attachments-to-sharepoint-lists/

https://youtu.be/_946zp7SVjY

In addition, if you want to submit multiple form data into single one record in your "opportunities" List, I afraid that the SubmitForm function could not achieve your needs. Instead, please use Patch function to achieve your needs. Please set the OnSave property of SharePointIntegration control to following:

If(
   Detail_Form.Mode = FormMode.New && Attachments_Form.Mode = FormMode.New,  // Check if your are adding new record or editing exising record
   Patch(
      'opportunities List',
       Defaults('opportunities List'),
       Detail_Form.Updates,
       Attachments_Form.Updates
  ),
  Detail_Form.Mode = FormMode.Edit && Attachments_Form.Mode = FormMode.Edit,
  Patch(
      'opportunities List',
       SharePointIntegration.Selected,
       Detail_Form.Updates,
       Attachments_Form.Updates
  )
);
ResetForm(Detail_Form);ResetForm(Attachments_Form)
RequestHide()

Set the OnNew property of the SharePointIntegration control to following:

Refresh('opportunities List');
NewForm(Detail_Form);NewForm(Attachments_Form)

Set the OnEdit property of the SharePointIntegration control to following:

Refresh('opportunities List');
EditForm(Detail_Form);EditForm(Attachments_Form)

Note: The Attachments_Form represents the Edit form in your Attachments Tab. The Detail_Form represents the Edit form in your Details tab.
