Show or collapse gallery column if value appears in a row.

When I tired this I could only get one row to expand and the other rows stayed when a value showed up in the gallery.

I have an app screen that shows order requests in a horizontal gallery with a header with column names. The column I'm looking to hide/collapse is called "Sample Cord". When orders are approved, they show up on our view gallery, we've made an adjustment to add this new column but the column doesn't always contain data. It is based on a condition within our Form for submitting the request. I use a Label 'lblSample' for displaying the data. Since we have multiple columns, I don't want to show the "Sample Cord" column unless a submission has met that condition to have the label show data. I tried the on visible property with the label but it only moved the row that contained data. I want to have the gallery and header to be formatted an aligned at all times. The header and the gallery template row both have horizontal containers within them. I'm wondering if I need to add a toggle to achieve this or if it's even possible. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you as always.

I am not sure I follow. In your image one row has a value and the others do not. 

but you cannot remove a “column” for some and not others. You can only hide, which appears you did. 

you said it only “moved” for the one row with data but I don’t understand moving or aligning. It looks to me like what you said you want. 

can you maybe do a mock up of what you want versus what it does?

Another question Why are you adding containers? It’s a lot of overhead and adds a lot of rendering layering work. 

wait… do you mean that when you only have values for columns 2 and 3 that they are aligned wrong? And when you have all 3 they align correctly?

take your labels out of the containers and simply align them with the labels in the headers. It won’t matter if the one is invisible or not they will align. 

Using the container makes them align to it which can be an issue on your container due to possible misconfigurations. 

loads of us build what you are asking for. I’ve mmnwver seen people use containers inside the Gallery for what you need. 

heck you can even make the Labels aligned by setting the X property equal to the corresponding X header

This is outcome when I put the Sample cord visible property to true, false. As you can see the gallery is out of alignment. I've removed the containers and set the width and X properties to match the header labels and labels within the gallery. What should I use as a syntax to take the width label of sample cord to 0 or expand when a value shows up in Sample Cord coulmn?

Some detail is missing that I need to find out from you

When you create a gallery and simply add things to it they don’t just realign because one thing is Invisible, they would only do that if you are using a control or a setting that makes it do that. 

making it invisible will not shift everything like that. 

if you add a horizontal gsllery, add the headers outside at the top and place the other controls in the first row of the gallery there should be no shift at all regardless. 

Is  there anything else at all that I’d can think of you did? 

Setting the Visible property to roughly 

IsBlank(ThisItem.MyValue) should simply make it visible or not but have no impact on where the others are unless you are doing something unintentional or the control is doing it. 

Can you try something simple 

Create another Gallery 

Add 3 Headers 

for Items put  [“1”,”2”,”3”]

now add a Text Label with the Text of ThisItem.Value

Then  next to it add 2 empty labels 

Align them by the headers like the other gallery. For Label 1 set the Text to “Row 2” and set 3 to “Row 3]

Run it and see everything aligns 

Next Set the Visible Property of Text Box 2 (row 2) to invisible. 
Row 3 should not move. 

Does that work as intended and how you want yours?
