Sort a Gallery based on combo box using a SharePoint List

Hi Everyone, I am new to powerapps. First time building. I am having issues with sorting my gallery based upon a choice combo box. I have the combo box working with the sharepoint list. However, I can't get the gallery to show the results. I've tried these formulas in the Gallery item:

I'm stuck.  I can't seem to get my gallery to show the filter items.  Here's what I've tried.  But nothing shows.  

(Tried 1) - Filter(Mandatory_Training, Audience, ComboBox2.SelectedItems)

@Anonymous The formula I gave should work and that without delegation @mmollet has confirmed this as well. To check it out, put that formula in the OnSelect of a Button and collect the results in a Collection and let me know what you get.

The delegation issues is most likely coming from using the in function. If you have a delegation error still I would argue that it isn't a solution as the results could and at some point will be incorrect unless you can guarantee the size of your data source will always be less than 2000. Also you have to change that setting from 500 to 2000 to begin with or it will give incorrect results at a mere 500 rows 😕

@CNT it seems like to me he is using a choice column to filter as well as using a choice column as the items in the combobox. When I do this as well I get an error text <> record on the compairsion in the filter part of the formula. When I first tested this out I was using a text column for my combobox that was Distinct(List, UserName) where UserName was a simple text field. When I changed that to Distinct(List, NameTest) where NameTest is the same choice field used in the filter, I get a type error. Value.Value is also delegated so im not sure what to do here except use text instead of choice columns.

@Anonymous The easiest way to fix this is to just use a text column type instead of a choice column type. The nice thing about Power Apps is that you control the data that goes into the list from the app. Given that the app is the only entry point for data, having a dropdown with only the choices in your choice column is no different from having a choice column. When the user wants to choose on of the choices, it just uploads to SP as text rather than a choice and will make your life so much easier and make your app run much more smoothly. Complex column types are almost always a pain in the ass unfortunately. If you think that is worth a shot I would try that. If you data set is huge you could use a flow that would take 5 min to make to move the old choice column values to the new text column.
