Hi all.
I have a simple test APP on SQL DB.
APP has 3 screens - gallery, details and form (as you get with a standard wizard
When inserting new record I get an error : "network error when using Patch function: specified record was not found"
The new record is actually getting inserted into the table.
The Monitor shows :
I've Created new connection to the SQL DB, made New App etc. The table I'm trying to insert data has an PK (Varchar).
Editing a record works OK (no error messages) but when creating a new one we get an error. (On my test SQL server (on prem) I can submit data from form without any errors shown. )
Any help appreciated.
Can I somehow validate and not show an error when the record is actually inserted to the DB?
Several questions before troubleshooting. Are you submitting a form or using a patch? Are you specifying the ID in the form or the patch? Have you made changes to the form once it has been created?
I also suggest using the Monitor to give you a hint about where the problem is but my guess is it has something to do with the ID field.

I've tried with the Form and with the Patch function on Button.
I've also tried default Form (as created by the wizard), tried modifying Form-s dataccards etc.
My question is why do I get such an error when I try to create NEW record (It's a new record so how can it be found?) ? The error shows up but the record gets inserted anyway!
And at the same time when I use my own on-prem test SQL DB I do not get the same error.
Bing says:
The error message "network error when using Patch function, specified record was not found" usually occurs when there is an issue with the SQL Table connection from your canvas app². You can try removing the SQL Table connection from your canvas app and then re-adding it again in your canvas app. Within your Patch formula, re-reference the SQL Table data source and then try your Patch formula again². This should solve the issue.

I've already tried all those ideas - created absolutely new APP with new connections, I've deleted the connections in the same APP and recreated them.

The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.
